it is very easy to use 20/20 hindsight to prove any point you want. Bob obviously felt this team needs to be rebuilt a little at a time. It is unfortunate that he did not forsee that theo would suck badly or that soury would suddenly look like a junior b player, or that Bonk would turn into a non scorer or that kovalev would miss 20 games as well as all the other injuries we have had. I mean that is his job, to predict the future. Hossa had plenty of time to make it in montreal could not play more than 1 game in a row. Hainsey had plenty of time to prove he could make it in Montreal, maybe he didn't want to be here who knows. there will be a lot changes over the next year but lets be honest Bob can only work with what he has and what the players show him.

I don't want either of them but of the 2 perrault is the better bet cheaper and more offence and one of the best faceoff guys in the league for years and i did not think he was that bad defensivly. at this time theo needs to sit. and for more than 2 games more like 10 or 15 let him think about it he may come back. As trade value right now he has none this is not trashing him its a fact. I do not want to trade him now because we have all the tape and pucks we need. He needs to get his confidence back and the teams confidence in him' it can be done but he needs to sit and remember why he is here and who he is. i think the guys on the team have given up on him and will not play in front of him they have no confidence in him he needs to do something spectacular

which part of these stats did you not understand? he's better defense wise +- (and over that many games yeah it means something) and offense wise and he's 500 grand cheaper. my point is if that is what bob wanted he w ould have just kept perrault. how can you possibly argue that?
