  1. Don't take life so seriously. Kick back relax and have fun... If you don't like negativity (is that a word) then it is hard to read anything in the paper, watching news, or just watching TV. Fans will always argue and this site is actually quite good for intelligent or just fun arguements. EVERY contribution is a valued asset to this forum as everyone has their point of view. I respect everyone's opinion. You are right about letting management do their job, but there must be some changes you would like to see. We all have our opinions and I chuckle at those that have the superior than thou attitude. I know there are some people who post here that play hockey and know more about player interaction and coaching decisions. These contributors enhance this board with their knowledge. Sorry about the rambling, just hate to see people leave this forum.
  2. Good Point ch for life! I somehow in my own little world forgot how bad Columbus was in the past. I cannot see Montreal trading a Centre this year though, unless some deal comes along to good to pass up.
  3. Rooster, get ready to lose respect for the league. It is an all out fire sale and there is talk of them leaving because of...Wait for this..... A Stadium deal!!!! Crap, I remember going through this with the BlueJays and Rogers gets the stadium in the end for next to nothing. What did taxpayers here fork out? 500Million? Cannot remember. Bye Florida and Loria, don't let the door slap 'yo A$$ when you leave. NEWS: The Mets reached a preliminary agreement Wednesday to acquire former Blue Jay Carlos Delgado and $7 million US from the Florida Marlins for first baseman Mike Jacobs and pitcher Yusmeiro Petit. Delgado is owed $48 million for the next three seasons.
  4. The rookies can play defense, however the veterans are more to coach Juliens plans for PK. CoRvInA has answered something that has made the team so offensively challenged. If Montreal stops taking so many $&%^^%^%&$&$&$& penalties, the rookies will shine again. Montreals scoring problem can be attested mainly to having to play on the PK at least 14 minutes a night. Hard to get anything going when you parade to the penalty box.
  5. There's always the halls of everlasting glory sitting on the same bench as all the Canadiens greats and playing along side them and defeating, on a regular basis, the Flyers, the Devils and the Bruins. :king::king::king: hehehehehe The rumor here is when you hit 4000 posts your HabsWorld odometer reboots to zero. This is so the rest of us have a chance in our lifetimes to reach the number1 spot....:hlogo:
  6. HUH? ROSTISLAV KLESLA?? Career: Games:206 Goals:15 Assists:33 +/-: -45 I have seen him play a couple of times and is not worth Mike Ribero. Plus is he not injured, only played 5 games this year?? This would not improve the defense in Montreal. We need someone to move guys out from in front of the net. Like Hal Gill on Boston(only as an example) someone big and strong. I know klesla is 6'3" but I question that stat.
  7. Yesterdays news type of player, 5 points this season???... We would probably get fleeced trying to get him. Nothing good is ever free. When I first heard of this I thought about him in Montreal, but not so sure if he would make any difference. If he comes to Montreal for say a 3rd or 4th round draft pick, sure give it a shot. Keep in mind I believe he is making $2.1Million per season.
  8. If Montreal takes 20 penalties against Leafs then it will be trouble....
  9. Cant give Kovachuk an inch or he scores... Crap 1 - 1 tie.
  10. Bulis and Koivu are awesome together!!!! Too bad Bulis is having difficulty scoring...
  11. Since Montreal took so many dumb penalties, does anyone think tthe refs will call a few on the thrashers? Glad Theo showed up tonight...
  12. hahahaha reminds me of my best friends little girl when she was 4 years old. She had a toy when tossed around said "Hot Potato" and drove my buddy nuts! BTH, you summed it up. Nobody wants the puck like it is a disease or something. Whats up with all the long shots? At least Zed is being creative. We are not down by a few goals after the first period so this is good news.
  13. Ya HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~moeman!!!!!! [Edited on 2005/11/22 by Howie_Morenz]
  14. I have been reading this story since yesterday. I am not sure how good Beckett is still good. Lots of sports fans on here, what does everyone think? Sorry about the broken link, fixed... http://tinyurl.com/dxscg [Edited on 2005/11/23 by Howie_Morenz]
  15. He is probably doing the Fake injury with all the booing he is going to receive if he plays $%^&%& again. I hope in his time off he can collect his thoughts and get his mind back on his job. I would welcome the old Sheldon back with great enthusiasm. Hey we are only on page three. Where is shortcat1???? GO HABS GO!!!!!
  16. I think Edmonton and Montreal are going to play a CLASSIC football game. Edmonton is loaded in just about every position. Montreal's offensive line is solid and one of the best in the last 5 years. What really gets me pumped is all the crying on the Toronto stations that no-one is going to watch it. Hahahahahahahahaha LOSERS all Toronto Fans are LOSERS and this crying will continue with leaf fans in April when the Leafs will be LOSERS! Montreal to win the cup 35 - 33 with Lapointe scoring 4 touchdowns... Ricky Ray to have a great game for Edmonton too. [Edited on 2005/11/22 by Howie_Morenz]
  17. You said it. The forward with the speed to get by most everyone and the toughness to check off guys hanging on. He is way overdue and this is his night to shine. Koivu should work well with him.... GO HABS GO!!!!!!!! [Edited on 2005/11/22 by Howie_Morenz]
  18. You must have been listening to the games and not watching them. Bulis is playing like a wildman, hitting and getting chances. His only downfall is not scoring. Begin is like a hero and Higgins has made his way up to the second line. Perizhogin is stll learning but MILES ahead of Dags and would you want Dags to takes Pleks spot? I say if Dags 6 minutes per game is not going to do anything creative, give the time to Begin and Bulis. To say the rest of the team is no doing anything is just not a correct observation. Dags should be in the press box watching the games as he is spectator when he is on the ice. I defended him many times in the past, but enough is enough. He had lots of chances being on the second line early in the season and he did nothing. Ryder was the same way but has scored a few important goals and is a threat every time he touches the puck. Now to get back to the second line Dags has to play better with the time given to him. The big hits he tries to dish out puts him out of position or ends up as a dumb penalty. You are like I was at one time, in denial.. It will pass. :)
  19. It would send two messages. 1.) Ribs, we are not happy with your play. 2.) Bonk, nows your chance, prove your worth. I am not sure Montreal would make these changes for a full game though...
  20. I'm ready for the game. Just picked up some tea bags, and popcorn is ready to cook. GO HABS GO!!!!! :hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo:
