    1. Convert it in paint from a .bmp to a .jpg image. I use paint for fast printscreen editing for DOS programs at work instead of photoshop. From there you need to have it hosted on a hosting site somewhere. I use Pbase.com free initially. Not sure if HabsWorld has a hosting server you can FTP it up to. 2. Link does work as it has been my avatar on here. I just tried in Explorer and Firefox both worked. Strange it does not work for you. Ahhh the internet is fun... I hope you get it working as I look forward to some interesting pictures.
  2. This why I have NHL Centre Ice, RDS and listen to CJAD. All of the Toronto shows have no clue what reality is like and Healy was a below average hockey player as well as commentator. No Talent!

http://the%20rocket.bmp/ is the path you have with your post for the URL location. It is taking the image from no location. Also very few programs can bring up Bitmaps or BMP. It should be in .jpg or .gif extension. My URL for my avatar image is at: http://i.pbase.com/v3/86/483186/1/50493171.theo.gif I have to reduce th image size in colours as it is too big which is why I am not using it right now. Right click on someones image and check their properties for image location for an idea. Hope this helps.
  4. fan590.com for online connection. Show is from 4pm to 7pm every weekday. BoB Mccowan is well versed in sports and sports politics. He holds no punches back and is fair.
  5. This usually happens on Prime Time as Bobcat does not subscribe to the Leaf crap. He is the only host that does not jump on the Leaf bandwagon and I have much respect for him. His listeners are the higher quality of Toronto fan.
  6. shortcat1, glad to see you back. Hope you had a fabulous weekend. In fact Happy Thanksgiving Canada. In time CBC will see the errors of their ways when fan base drops with the leaf losses. I know the flock supports Toronto Maple Leafs, but there are many bandwagon fans who will drop out of sight. And if the fan base drops I will be the first to remind their sponsors that they should be supporting the greatest team in hockey history. :hlogo:
  7. Since Tie Domi is being paid as a scorer now for T-DOT, should he not be wearing a visor Oh the crying on TV from coaches corner would be heard Cost-To-Coast. Rats, I was looking for a crying smiley...
  8. I have faith in Saku! I still say low scoring game, 2-1 or 3-2 habs with #11 leading the charge to victory.
  9. I have to agree with habsfan88. My French is not that good but from what I could understand from the story, Ribero and Dags are good budies on and off the ice. Ribs was feeling guilty he was playing and dags was not playing and almost making excuses for Dags. This is No big deal as they have played hockey together for a long time and are good friends. We all have close friends and I hope everyone would stick up for their friends. Now when some Toronto Media Outlet bashes the HABS, I expect this much passion to fight back..... 10. habmanonthepacific you nailed down the "DON". He works the screen to the lowest common denominator, the over-paying Leaf fan and they buy his garbage. I am glad I have many Toronto friends (not neccessarily Leaf fans) that do not buy into what this guy is selling. I like Montreal being a bit Euro as the mix with players from other countries is fun to watch. I don't think it matters what country you are from or if you wear a visor to have the true heart of a champion. You guys have probably seen me talk about Saku a billion times and I cannot state how I admire the man. Tough, Fast, Skilled and one of the most hardworking players on the team. If the "DON" had a goalie like French Canadian Jose, he might have had many championships. Alas he is just another big mouth on TV.
  11. Very nicely said. It would be a good thing for HNIC to represent all Canada.
  12. I hope the Ottawa forwards are worn out after so many shots at the Leaf net tonight.
  13. PMAC, very good post. I really like the part of the post quoted above. Ken Klee is an average defenseman. Montreal Kicked A$$ Klee because you are not good enough. Along with Berg and Belak, you have the makings of a sad defence. What did Toronto spend their money on this year? Oh yea I forgot Belfour (hahahahahahahaha) and Sundin (I would keep him) and Domi (Hahahahahahahaha). Koivu made a mad dash from behind the Montreal net, brought the puck into Toronto's end with a fabulous move. He is also playing with intensity and will score. He is a premier centre! 14. Bulis - Bonk - Sundstrom is going to be a fun line to watch again. Defensively these guys are good and like to play the transition to offense. I BeLiEvE Jose will have a fabulous game and take us to one more victory! I hope he gets lots of rest and thinks about his very powerful foe. Hasek has won in the past and will pose a challenge. I agree with a low scoring game 2-1 or 3-2 Habs! Begin and Bulis to be the stars. Koivu to make Ottawa mad with his rushing the puck end to end and scoring the winning goal. GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!
  15. jetsniper, it is true that he is getting points but Toronto is not winning. He still has wheels and can get into the other teams zone quickly. When Lindros loses the puck, he cannot keep up with anyone. Plus the two points that he got on Saturday were as a result of him driving into Montreal's end. Jose gave up early christmas Presents so he got points. I expect Lindros to play around 60-70 games, but it will not help. He might even get 60 points in the new NHL.
  16. On the fan 590 in T-DOT the flock were calling in saying Czerkawski was a 40 goal guy and played good for Montreal. HELLO!!!!
  17. "So who has to die for the NHL comes to their senses about visors." Pierre the great, I think you supplied the answer with the question. One day someone may die and the trajedy will bring change. The new NHL is about skill, checking and speed. The goon mentality I believe is now way overblown. Dallas took a 7 minute gooning penalties last night and lost the game. I expect Tie domi to cost the Leafs at least two games this year due to dumb goon type penalties. Smart players will adopt the visor. Better than looking like Matts right now, Yikes..
  18. Bulis_the_Habbie, well done! I love the Autumn headline. There is much egg thrown in the faces of Leafland. I hope Sundin and O'Neil injuries are not too bad and they can recover quickly. I don't think it will help on the ice as relying on Matts for everything will lead him to make mistakes. They really need to panic and let the youth up on the first or second line. Wellwood is a crafty forward and Stajan is a good centre. They scare me.... Alas, the leaf faithful are now calling for Marchment because Coach Cherry wants him. The Leaf Flock have spoken!
  19. While it is true that the CBC loses money, Hockey Night in Canada is very profitable and a not insignificant amount of this profit can be traced directly to Don Cherry. Many people only watch the first intermission - they don't even bother to watch most games. This is the reason Cherry is still on the air and why he is paid a large salary. If you want the CBC to be run like a corporation, you can't really complain that they put Cherry on the air. Similarly, if you feel the CBC is a "money pit", you can't complain about Cherry; he is reducing the overall cost of the CBC. Hi Peter Puck, I had written this in an older post and pasted it here again. Seems like we have to rehash the CBC flaw. I can complain and so should you because we do not get value for our money. How much CBC do you watch per month and is it good value for your tax dollar. I know not everyone here will agree on the value of the CBC, I just get annoyed at the polital hacks that get appointed to run CBC and bring in their own crooks as execs. They extort our money out of our pockets and force don cherry, and hockey night in Toronto on us and say they are supporting Canada. NHL does not make the CBC profitable. (See Post Below) Not saying you are wrong to like the CBC, but the facts are the CBC cannot make money and gets heavy subsities. Also keep in mind that it is the same "Hacks" that say HNIC and Don Cherry is profitable. How much are the subsities to run the show and the endless CBC advertising for hockey? Previously Posted Before: How deep in our pockets do the government agencies go to take our money and produce crap on this station, like the Maple Leaf Hockey team? Here's what happens (It shocked me) An hour of premium canadian programming costs $1million. Canadian broadcasers pay licence fee of $200,000-$250,000 per hour while taking in $65,000-$95,000 dollars. In the French Canadian market it is 5 times more expensive to produce Canadian content then to import and translate American programming. Canadian producers recover their costs through (Your tax dollars in Large Letters) PUBLIC SUBSITIES and foreign sales. Up to 60% comes from public sources like broadcast fees, the CANADIAN TELEVISION FUND, TAX CREDITS, PROVINCIAL FILM COMMISIONS, and CRTC mandated private funds. Now that my tax dollars are used on a channel that I do not watch, I have to PAY to get RDS in my home town in order to watch the most glorius hockey team ever created. Hey I had to back up my point in the CBC flaw. This stuff is all available on http://www.cbc.radio-canada.ca Open the markets, forget provincial blackouts and dump CBC.
  20. I say Houston gets a run this inning and ends it... Man I am going out so going to have to get this on the radio in the car.
  21. I cannot believe this thread was viewed 4400 + times. Wow, just wait until later in the season when we are still on top the standings and meet the leafs again. Then more people will join in Go Habs Go chants. :hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo:
  22. Ya I just noticed that too. 17 innings must be the longest playoff game in history?
  23. RDS is a private company I believe. While catering to French Canada mostly Quebec, I can see them being Montreal Biased. They carry the Montreal CFL team too which is why I subscribe to it. My French is bad so this is also an educational tool for me to force feed the French language into my vocabulary. This fall I am even signing up for French classes to better understand the Quebec community broadcasts. CBC on the other hand comes out of our pockets and generates no wealth. If they had to go on their own, they would be bankrupt within a week without Canada bailout. Since my money goes into this corporation it should be publicly traded so we can have a proxy vote on how the company is run. I would expect each Canadian that pays/paid taxes gets shares in the corporation. Once publically traded we could end the misuse of the company and insist it be profitable. Conservative and Liberal parties will never get rid of this propaganda station as it works in their interest while they are in power. Not even Leaf Fans and Leaf media gets me as mad as I do about the CBC money pit.
