  1. Yep, it's an elbow fracture, he's out indefinitely.
  2. Something tells me we'll see Round 2 of that battle in the 3rd period.
  3. Well, the Aviles era is over in a hurry. He was dealt with Yan Gomes for another reliever. That would more or less signify that neither of Frasor or Lyon will be retained.
  4. The Bulldogs (3-2-2) will look to split the weekend home-and-home as they host the Americans (6-2-1). Projected Hamilton Lines: Holland - Bournival -Gallagher Blunden - Geoffrion - Nattinen Quailer - Dumont - Palushaj Berger - Boyce - Stortini Tinordi-Pateryn Beaulieu-St. Denis Nash-Ellis Mayer (although I'm hoping it's Delmas) Projected Rochester Lines: Foligno - Hodgson - Rankin Adam - Varone - Mancari Girgensons - Porter - Flynn Tarnasky - Schofield - Roy Finley - Crawford McNabb - Pysyk Brennan - Biega Leggio Puck drop is at 7:05 PM, Funny820 as always will have the play-by-play. The game can also be seen on Sportsnet One and TVA Sports.
  5. Off to the shootout we go, Bulldogs went first each round. Hamilton: Holland: No goal Geoffrion: No goal Bournival: No goal Boyce: Goal Rochester: Varone: Goal Flynn: Goal Brennan: No goal (had Mayer down and out though) Foligno: Goal Not Mayer's best shootout effort to say the least, Rochester wins 3-2. The rematch goes tomorrow in Hamilton on Sportsnet and TVA. http://theahl.com/st...game_id=1009986
  6. Off to OT, a hard earned point at the very least.
  7. Boyce didn't miss the net, he ties it at 2!
  8. The Bulldogs can't cash on the powerplay, take a penalty, and Rochester scores on their PP. 2-0. Well, that was fast. The Bulldogs quickly erase that marker as Gallagher tips home a Brendon Nash point shot to make it 2-1.
  9. End of 2, still 1-0 Rochester. Hamilton will be on the tail end of a PP to start the 3rd; shots are 21-18 Amerks.
  10. I've gotta assume there's an understanding that if he's sent down, he's not going to make it there and instead would go back to Russia. Brendan Gallagher's first pro fight is against Patrick Roy's kid. That's about as close as it gets height wise for Gallagher.
  11. Some good news on the injury front as Charles Hudon returns from his concussion while Dustin Walsh is expected to make his season debut.
  12. Eller and Desharnais both played there too, as did Markov. Besides, I don't think there have been games in that for a couple weeks now.
  13. 1-0 Rochester, they had a goal before Hamilton even had a shot. On the plus side, they killed off 2 full penalties before the 5 minute mark.
  14. I'm surprised, it's a half hour before game time and there are no lineup notes for the Bulldogs.
  15. He was cut from a U20 camp earlier in the summer which surely doesn't help his cause. His early start to the season hopefully will bump him back into consideration.
  16. The Bulldogs (3-2-1) will look to kick off the weekend home-and-home as they travel to Rochester to take on the Americans (5-2-1). Projected Hamilton Lines: Holland - Bournival -Gallagher Blunden - Geoffrion - Nattinen Quailer - Dumont - Palushaj Berger - Boyce - Stortini Tinordi-Pateryn Beaulieu-St. Denis Nash-Ellis Mayer * I'm assuming they'll keep the lines the same after Sunday's win but that's not confirmed as of yet. Projected Rochester Lines: Adam - Hodgson - Mancari Girgensons - Porter - Flynn Foligno - Varone - Rankin Tarnasky - Schofield - Roy Finley - Crawford McNabb - Pysyk Brennan - Biega Leggio * There is some speculation that Nick Crawford will draw in on the blueline for the Amerks but that's not yet confirmed either. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM, Funny820 as always will have the play-by-play.
  17. So Laraque resigns, the person/people known as Derek Clarke reportedly will also step down according to TSN, and two law firms have withdrawn support of the PA. I wonder who all is left? Yesterday's big tidbit - not only are there multiple Clarke's in the PA but also multiple Gumbley's? http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/chlpa-a-tale-of-muliple-identities--.html
  18. David Desharnais has agreed to terms with Fribourg Gotteron (Switzerland).
  19. I sent Derek 18 questions, all but 1 were answered (and that was because it had been covered in a previous response). I'm going to post the answers in two parts - Part 1 (link below) will cover thoughts on training camp and the off-ice staff while Part 2 (next week) will predominantly cover the players. http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2935
  20. November's wallpaper is now up, featuring goaltender Robert Mayer. TV dates are also noted this month. http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2934
  21. Darren Dietz was named Saskatoon's player of the month for October. That's the first positive out of that team all year.
  22. So now word comes out that the CHLPA's spokesman may not be who he says he is and could actually be a former coach convicted of fraud? Boy, this keeps on getting more and more interesting. http://slam.canoe.ca...1/20321231.html
  23. 25 might be asking a bit much. 25 goal scorers in the NCAA are somewhat rare. His team plays a 42 game schedule so his personal max is 40 after suspension and he didn't score in the first two. To get 25, he'd need to score a fair ways over 0.5 GPG (0.66 as he'd need 25 in 38 games), a mark he has yet to achieve in 3 NCAA seasons. I think he can get to 20, even a goal or two past it but 25 may be difficult. News and notes from today, Charles Hudon returned to practice today for the first time since suffering a concussion earlier this month. Darren Dietz (undisclosed) isn't expected to play tonight as the Blades finally return to action, he's DTD.
  24. That's right. I should've been more specific with that second point. Teams that missed the playoffs over the three years got a ball for each of the years they missed the postseason, up to a maximum of 3 total.
