Peyton Manning winds up in Denver, this will make the offseason really interesting while they decide on what to do with Tebow. I think they'd be wise to keep both and let Manning help teach Tebow a bit. Also, screwiest deal of the offseason, QB Matt Flynn to the Seahawks for give or take $8 million per year (depending on reports). He has 2 career starts. I get that he was blocked by Rodgers in Green Bay but that's a beyond gutsy risk.

Eric Lampe released from his tryout deal. Considering they only dressed 11 forwards last game, that suggests to me that a couple of forwards could be back next game.

What is the right timing for GM & coaching changes?
dlbalr replied to REV-G's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
The timing is peculiar too, right before what is supposed to be a somewhat lengthy playoff run. Knowing the coach is bailing is a recipe for early elimination. I'm hoping the rumour is false, I'm pretty much on the anyone-but-Roy bandwagon. -
Gionta is confirmed out until May, so this is just likely him skating for sanity's sake. This is the 3rd time Darche has skated, I suspect we'll see him before year's end,
-
He won me the HW Draft Pool that year, I correctly picked him going #30. Their berth in the tourney sets an NCAA record for consecutive appearances (22 and counting).

I was watching the London game on Friday and caught the CHL top-10 rankings, brought a bit of a smile to my face: 1 Saint John Sea Dogs (47-15-0-3) 2 London Knights (47-17-0-1) 3 Tri-City Americans (49-17-2-2) 4 Portland Winterhawks (48-17-3-1) 5 Shawinigan Cataractes (44-15-3-4) Beaulieu is on the top team, Tinordi on the #2 team, Holland on the #3 team, no one on the 4th but that's made up by two players (Ellis/Bournival) on the 5th ranked squad. Those two are locked into the Memorial Cup but there's a good chance someone will be joining them from the top-3 teams.

Probably won't be setting it up for a little while, there's some setup around the room (it's a bedroom TV) that needs to be done first. I jumped ahead and bought it early as it was $200 off but it'll be a couple of weeks before the actual unit it will sit inside gets built. 40" Samsung LED, 1080p, 120HZ. Bought the HD receiver a few weeks ago so this will be a nice setup when everything's finally put together.

It was done very quietly but St-Denis was sent down yesterday afternoon.
-
I was going to start a GDT this afternoon but I went and bought a new TV instead since the store only had 1 left of the one I wanted. Isles win in the shootout and we're tied for 14th again. I think they have a game in hand so we're 15th for now I do believe.
-
No point in starting a GDT since the game is over but Hamilton lost 5-3 in Grand Rapids tonight. Bulldog goals from Dumont (2) and Nattinen. 7 D were dressed as Hendrixx made his Hamilton debut...and got in a fight 3 minutes in.
-
I can't seem to find anything on the MacLean comment.
-
Plekanec is on pace for over 27 minutes tonight which is rare. Even rarer? He has played more time shorthanded than 5-on-5. Gorges also has more SHTOI than ESTOI but the gap isn't as big.
-
This is starting to remind me of Brett Connolly a couple years ago. Highly talented player, didn't play much at all in his draft year, still went top-10 regardless.
-
Just when I think Subban is starting to learn that he can't take stupid penalties, he takes 2 - the fight (with the defence corps the Habs have, fighting is not an option, period) and the stupidity with Neil with 5 seconds left. There's 5 seconds left, don't tackle him and throw a couple gloved shots at the head. Nokelainen isn't helping his case to stay in the lineup either.
-
Chris Lee is reffing the game. This just got a whole lot more...interesting.
-
Tinordi is on Sportsnet tonight if you're looking to flip to something during the breaks in the Hab game. They're taking on Sarnia (which includes Alex Galchenyuk).
-
Injury/lineup notes for tonight's game, pending the GDT (Commandant, it should be you starting it since the Habs won): Kaberle (upper body) out; Markov (upper body) out; Emelin (upper body) in; Blunden (knee), to take warm-up, game time decision This means 'Steady Freddy' stays in the lineup, Emelin takes Markov's spot.
-
Could be, the name seems familiar to me now that you mention it. Speaking of EHM, do you know we have our own EHM league here?
-
This has been quite the game so far, the top line is playing extremely well.
-
With Emelin being unexpectedly out, this should mean St-Denis' recall was an emergency one.
-
6-0 final. Shots were 47-12.
-
St. John's gets on the board first late in the 1st.
-
Quick note on the injuries: Callahan, Fortier, and Masse are all a week or two away from coming back, Stafford is more indefinite (Conboy, Bishop, Nash all confirmed or presumed done for the year). Hendrixx is the only healthy scratch.
-
Tonight is the second half of the back-to-back set against the IceCaps. Hamilton will be short their #1 healthy defenceman (to go along with their top-2 injured ones) as St-Denis is with the Habs. Active scoring leaders: Goals: Andreas Engqvist (19) Assists: Brian Willsie (21) Points: Andreas Engqvist (35) +/-: Alex Henry/Robert Slaney (+3) PIMS: Zack FitzGerald (216) Active scoring leaders: Goals: Jason King (18) Assists: Spencer Machacek (31) Points: Spencer Machacek (45) +/-: Arturs Kulda (+18) PIMS: Garth Murray (96) Puck drop is at 6:00 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/

Just a not-so-subtle hint that someone still needs to do the GDT...
