  1. I seem to be in the minority that is happy that Budaj is playing well. He needs to string a few quality starts together to show whoever is coaching next year that he can handle a larger workload and that Price doesn't need to lead the league in games again. Having stinkers isn't going to achieve that.
  2. The Habs haven't been healthy enough to be at 12 forwards without Geoffrion in the lineup. Emergency recalls are sent down in the order they're recalled so this appears to be the pecking order for demotion: Engqvist (at the times he's up) Leblanc Geoffrion Palushaj (Gauthier also called his an emergency but as he sent him down first, I don't think that'll fly). Assuming Leblanc goes down, that puts Geoffrion in the next spot when Blunden/Darche/Moen/Gionta return. If Leblanc stays and they change it to non-emergency, he'd be taken off the list altogether meaning once again Geoffrion is next on the demotion list. Unfortunately tracking these things is a bit of an inexact science but that's my take.
  3. Geoffrion was termed an emergency callup as per Gauthier's presser after the deadline.
  4. Pacioretty-Desharnais-Cole Bourque-Plekanec-White Eller-Gomez-Geoffrion Palushaj-Staubitz Gorges-Subban Markov-Emelin Campoli-Weber Kaberle Budaj Vanek-Ennis-Stafford Leino-Hodgson-Pominville Gerbe-Roy-Boyes Kaleta-Ellis-Tropp Ehrhoff-Sulzer Leopold-Myers Weber-Regehr Miller Puck drop is at 7 PM EST on TSN and RDS.
  5. Admittedly, I'm not the greatest at navigating the admin panel but I can't seem to find any sort of personal setting that's overriding any default font setting.
  6. Welcome to the board first of all. A lot of the complaints about his conditioning stem from the beginning of the season where he was called out in Carolina for not being in good shape coming into camp. Personally I'm hoping that he learns from this and comes to camp more ready to go from the get go next season which could hopefully help his play in his own end (a little stronger, a little quicker to react, I'm sure it would help from time to time).
  7. Little tidbit on Moen that I found in my hockey pool just now... That's the first time I've seen anything remotely close to definitive on Moen for a while now.
  8. He could before, he can't now. Islander fans have been complaining about him all year; his -23 rating is 3rd worst in the league (and from a non-analytical perspective, he has been undressed in quite a few highlights I've seen this year). He's only a few points ahead of Kaberle too. There seems to be a time where the high end offensive blueliner that can still log a regular shift starts to tail off. We've seen Kaberle is at that spot, it appears Streit is there this year as well.
  9. Marlies win it on a goal from Zigomanis.
  10. Heading to overtime, a hard earned point for the Bulldogs. This is the first time this year (in 11 games) these two have gone past regulation.
  11. Now 1-1 past the halfway point of the 3rd, Toronto's active PIM leader Kelsey Wilson has the equalizer.
  12. Just to list the concrete figures, these are from last season: 37 35+ point players 28 40+ players 18 45+ players 9 50+ players
  13. Interestingly enough, as I posted that Lawson got hit and was shaken up a bit. He stayed in the game though. Still 1-0 good guys after 2.
  14. What's better for his development? Playing 1/4 of the games in Hamilton of 1/2 in Wheeling? It's an interesting discussion point. He has played 40+ games in a season once in his career and that includes junior. (His high is 41.) The Nailers look like they're safely in a playoff spot and Delmas is on their eligibility roster; he isn't on Hamilton's Clear Day. Unless someone goes down, he'll be in the ECHL for the rest of the year.
  15. I wonder if they might closer to the end of the year. As long as the Bulldogs are somewhat fighting for a playoff spot, they have to go with Lawson who has been sharp lately.
  16. I also heard him mention an upper body injury for Desharnais where all reports say lower body. I haven't seen what happened so either he's mistaken or he knows something the media doesn't.
  17. They did that with Pyatt too and he wound up non-tendered.
  18. The Marlies will be on the PP to start the 2nd after St-Denis took a late penalty. Pierre Gauthier is coming up in the 1st intermission, wonder if the news of the day will get mentioned. Shots are 12-3 Toronto through 1.
  19. St-Denis scores on the PP to give Hamilton a 1-0 lead!
  20. If Markov is indeed available for tonight, I'd have to think they'll dress 7 defencemen.
  21. The Bulldogs will look to kick off the road trip that will seem like it'll never end today as they travel to Toronto in the hopes of scoring a goal against the Marlies. Active scoring leaders: Goals: Andreas Engqvist (18) Assists: Frederic St-Denis (22) Points: Andreas Engqvist (34) +/-: Henry/Slaney (+2) PIMS: Zack FitzGerald (197) Active scoring leaders: Goals: Ryan Hamilton (22) Assists: Mike Zigomanis (35) Points: Mike Zigomanis (52) +/-: Marcel Mueller (+14) PIMS: Kelsey Wilson (81) Puck drop is at 3:00 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/
  22. Boyd was a UFA regardless, Dawes much to my surprise went unqualified.
  23. If he's on LTIR, he's on LTIR. For the amount of time he is on there, the Habs will be able to exceed the cap by Markov's cap hit, it's not a cap credit like some think. By the way, this is significant enough to warrant its own thread, I agree with Commandant.
  24. He won't be; he can't be. 2nd rounders bust all the time, it wouldn't be anywhere near the story of letting a 1st rounder go unsigned.
