Apparently the news media wants Don Imus to be the most pressing issue of our time. EVER.

Nope, they don't want to talk about how Iraq further went into chaos this week with a bombing, inside the green zone, inside the Iraqi Parliament, in the cafeteria.

That's not 'important'

Or that the Chinese PM visited Japan's Parliament

Or that the North Koreans aren't going to deliver on time, as usual.

Or that Paul Wolfowitz is about to resign in shame as he tried to promote his girlfriend to a higher position within the World Bank.

Or the fact that the White House has seemingly 'lost' thousands of emails on Alberto Gonzales.

Nope, the American News media doesn't want you to focus on the real issues of course. They want to talk about Imus. Imus, Imus, Imus.

And we wonder why the rest of the world hates us. Look at us. We never want to take on an issue, but we are always first to criticize others. We rather talk about Paris Hilton, Don Imus, or Anna Nicole Smith and her baby then the actual news.

I'm sorry to tell everyone but the days of the U.S. being on top are over, by 2020 we will not be the biggest world power on the planet. China and India will have more influence.

So enjoy it while it lasts, because Rome is burning and we don't seem to care.
