TheAussiePosse
What is next year's draft worth? I'm beginning to wonder if it's a Kovalchuk or DiPietro type draft. I wonder if it would be too daring to go out on a limb and pick a team that will come last (or 2nd last or 3rd last), and try to aquire their 1st rounder. I think it would be worth going for. It just means that we have to judge another team's standing at the end of next year (and hope for a good draft lottery) :ghg:
dlbalr
The top player is said to be better than Kovalchuk, that being Alexander Ovechkin. As for other prospects, I've read info on about 6 or so, and they sound decent, but at this time, it's too early to tell.
Markov79
I'd say the Pens or the Blue Jackets have an excellent chance at landing Ovechkin. Think he's a Lebraun James type franchise player?
TheAussiePosse
Will Pittsburgh draft MA Fleury? It's a possbility... The Moose is still loose, Aubin has been awful, Caron is not a future goalie... Fleury might take a bit to develop (maybe COL will trade up the draft to get him... and get ROy back as goalie coach... ) But it's definitely a possibility with Pittsburgh. I wonder what they'll be like in 5 years time. Then again, I wonder what :hlogo: will be like in 5 years time. Lemme check with Lord Stanley
