Thnx for the update, it's nice to read these things. Keep up the good work!!

I could do this for Germany, but not many nhl players moved to Germany: Critobal Huet/Steve Passmore and Andy Macdonald. Jochen Hecht and Marco Sturm also moved, and about Dany Heatley it's still not sure (he's got a german id.)

In holland there are no NHL -players, allthough Amsterdam promised, if there would be a Lockout, they would sign 2 nhl-players!!

Great to get some updates from overseas :D... too bad they don't air any of the games over here in Canada EH?!...

:idea:Heres to hoping that the beer companies try to increase sales by getting a contract done with TSN or sumthing where they can air their commercials, and, let us see some good ol' hockey! :contract:

Our league is quit poor. Last year they combined with Belgium for a competition and had an only dutch competition. The combination with Belgium was not that great, to much difference between the dutch clubs and the belgium clubs, in advantage for holland. Now they are trying 2 get more teams on the highest dutch level.(our own league has about 6 teams) But the dutch hockey organisation is putting up a whole new organisation, and investing a lot in youth nowadays, so thats good news!!! We got plenty of rinks, cuz (speed)skating is very popular here

Lately there has been a tournament and holland were quite good. With a couple of small loses. Our national team exist mostly out of dutchies, and canadiens with dutch parents. (canadiens with their roots in holland).

We lost 3-2 from Italy, 5-4 slovenia and 7-5 Poland. We have to play Poland for the olympic selection. So thats going 2 be hard.

Yes we play in the A 1 pool, if you win that cup you can compete with the big countries, it is with the countries: Belgium/Norway/Great Britain/Hungary and Belarus

Timrå - Brynäs 4-3

Both Henrik Zetterberg and Andreas Dackell had one goal and one assist.

HV71 - Frölunda 3-2

No "NHL goals" in this game. Assist from Tjärnqvist and Olausson. This was a really good game and HV71s coach told afterwards that he has never seen his team played so well before. And that comes from a coach of the defendig champions.

Linköping - Malmö 2-1

Färjestad - Djurgården 3-2

Djurgården started with Daniel Tjärnqvists goal after 6 minutes of play.

Another note from Sweden.

Marcel Hossa is a sucess!

Luleå - Brynäs 4-2

Niclas Wallin scored the first one for Luleå.

MoDo - Timrå 2-2

Henrik Zetterberg scored the first for Tmrå.

Peter Forsberg scored the equalizer and assisted on the second.

Timrå tied the game with just 7 seconds left to play after goaltender Tommy Salo tried to score in the open net.

Frölunda - Malmö 8-1

Malmö has one good player. Their goalie. That says it all...

St Louis Christan Bäckman had 1+1 and Samuel Påhlsson one helper.

Djurgården - Mora 4-2

Marcel Hossas first game. His team lost but he played good.

Djugårdens and Atlantas Daniel Tjärnqvist had 1+1.

Mariuz Czerkawski score the 3-1 goal assisted by Espen Knutsen. (They are doing very well togheter.) This goal was score in powerplay. And whom was guilty? Marcel Hossa for high sticking.

Färjestad - Södertälje 2-0

Boring game. The second goal came in a empty net. Washingtons Stanislav Stana is in the nets for Södertälje. He's really good. Färjestad has 35 shots on net.

Linköping - HV71 7-3

Linköping, the city without a real hockey-tradition beat the champs.

Kristian Huselius assisted by Brendan Morrison two times in a row!

After that, Mathias Tjärnkvist.

And then Mike Knuble assisted by Huselius and Morrison.

Henrik Tallinder had 1+1 and Huselius assisted on the last goal.

Round 4.

One game played so far.

Malmö - Mora 1-2

MARCEL HOSSA SHOW!

First goal on the powerplay by Hossa.

Malmö then tied the game by Mika Hannula.

And for the second time of the evening Marcel Hossa scored on the powerplay this time in overtime!

Cool.

Timrå is playing pretty good and Djurgården have had some troubble latley.

Some say that Linköping is the team that has taken the greatest advantage of the lockout. They've got Knuble, Morrison and Huselius.

In my opinion it is Timrå. Kipprusoff, Zetterberg and Modin.
