bombTHEice Posted January 17, 2005 Share Posted January 17, 2005 Finally, promising Montreal Canadiens blueliner Mike Komisarek recently underwent hip surgery and could be gone for the remainder of the 2004-05 season. Komisarek's strong play in last spring's playoffs was the reason they dealt impending UFA veteran Stephane Quintal to the L.A. Kings, but if the youngster is sidelined for the season, they'll need more toughness on their defense corps. That's the latest news I've read but I don't know how accurate FOXSport is ... montreal Posted January 18, 2005 Share Posted January 18, 2005 Andre Savard did an interview during one of the recent Hamilton games. He said he didn't know or have any updates on Komisarek. He said that Mike is still in Montreal. He also said he hopes that Komisarek would be ready to play next month but that it's unknown at this time if he will be or not.
