@bar You're right, Cammy would be a great captain, sorta like a cross between Gionta and Markov but I still think Gio is the best choice.

@BTH I love Lapierre, giving him the benefit of the doubt this season re the ankle injury. Hope he really comes up big this year.

@Toronthab Thanks for the laugh.

@illWill IMO a) We haven't had that much luck with European captains and b) just a feeling that it'll be easier for Markov to have an A in a supporting role for his sake. Not that he's unworthy of captaincy, but it would be a lot easier in the room for a native English speaker to be captain. (Marky himself joked at his citizenship ceremony that first he "needs to learn English".
