dlbalr
The Super Series gets underway tonight with the first of two QMJHL games. Both Louis Leblanc and Phillipe Lefebvre were named to the Q's team, however, Leblanc won't play due to injury. Lefebvre is scheduled to only play in tonight's game but that could change if Leblanc can't play Wednesday. Brendan Gallagher, the diminutive sniper that the Habs drafted last year, will play in both WHL games. The schedule if anyone wants to catch the games: http://www.subwaysuperseries.com/broadcastschedule (On at lots of different times, between the various SNET networks.) First game is on 3 SNET channels right now actually.
l.moustakas
Thanks for the heads up. Don't have a TV though... know of any places that stream the games? Oh, and gotta tell you, I was surprised to see Gallagher's numbers in your recap. Impressive, especially considering the more defensive nature of the "Dub". dlbalr
Apparently there's a legal stream of these games (which means I can post it here) - the link is in here: http://www.chl.ca/article/sportsnet-ca-to-...ay-super-series
dlbalr
Lefebvre had 0 points and 2 shots on goal last night. He did hit the post on a close play that had to be reviewed though. Next game is tomorrow night.
dlbalr
Leblanc: 1 assist, 4 SOG, 2 PIMS in Game 2. Lefebvre didn't play. More shocking was the Russians winning both games, didn't see that coming. Series shifts to Ontario for the next two (no Habs prospects in there). http://www.leaguestat.com/chl/canrus/en/st...php?game_id=
dlbalr
Between the two games, newly acquired Michael Bournival had a goal, 5 shots on goal, and 2 PIMS vs the Russians.
JCPetit
Between the two games, newly acquired Michael Bournival had a goal, 5 shots on goal, and 2 PIMS vs the Russians. According to Stéphane Leroux on RDS, he was the player who made the most of his presence on Quebec's team.
dlbalr
Brendan Gallagher was originally supposed to play both WHL games yet but didn't dress as the roster was changed late; Russia won 7-6 last night. Game 6 is tonight, and he is expected to play in this one. Broadcast times/channels in the 1st post link.

Russia can win this series for the first time if they tie the game... if the WHL wins in regulation, the series is tied, and then they'll do a shootout to determine the winner. dlbalr
Russia won game 6 5-2 and won the series 4-2. Maybe the OHL is the stronger league this year as they won both their games, didn't see that coming. Gallagher was pointless, shotless, and PIM-less last night...that might be the first time that's happened with him in ages.
