Habs77
This thread is dedicated to the laziest sports writter in history, who makes so many mistakes in his articles it's a wonder he still has a job... it's as if the Gazette simply doesn't care. So here we go.
puck7x
The Gazette hockey writers are a freaking joke... - Hickey has no clue what he is talking about and makes tons of errors (too busy stuffing his face in the pressbox rather then watching the game) - Jack Todd has zero credibility , he flips back and forth on every issue (Although he isnt really a hockey writer) - Fisher is getting more and more senile with every passing day , plus he only shows up in the paper about once a week The Herb Zurkowsky guy is alright ... I suppose... Thats about it. Wish Micheal Farber was still around.
Habs77
- Before the waiver draft last year he said Bulis would be exposed.... obviously he wasn't. - He just recently wrote the Habs had 8 picks going into the draft.... traded away 5th & 7th but had an extra 6th in the Gilmour trade. The extra 2nd rounder from the Chouinard trade to PHI, the most important extra pick... slipped his mind. Now: Habs fail to shed some salaries in draft-day deals PAT HICKEY The Gazette Monday, June 23, 2003 "(...)Over the next three weeks, the Canadiens will be involved in negotiations with Russian Andrei Perezhogin, a first-round pick in 2001, and Kastsitsyn. All reports are that Perezhogin is ready to give the NHL a try after a solid season in the Russian Elite League." That's Alexander Perezhogin... dumbass. And earlier in the same article: That means defenceman Patrice Brisebois, who has two years remaining on a contract that pays him more than $4 million U.S. a year, is still a Canadien. That's 3 more years remaining Pat... go back to sleep. :eyes: '03/'04 4M - '04/'05 4M - '05/'06 4.5M [Edited on 24-6-03 by Habs77]

huzer
Wow! A correction in the Gazette!! Did one of you complain? "Correction: Michael Ryder, who will be on right wing with Mike Ribeiro and Marcel Hossa, shoots right, not left as reported yesterday. He was previously playing on the off-wing when he was on left wing with Yanic Perreault and Richard Zednik."
Habs77
The correction I was looking for is: ""Correction: We have just learned that Pat Hickey, who has been writing articles for the Gazette for many years, is actually just a homeless guy who wandered in and sat at a desk during a change in administration years ago and nobody noticed. He has accepted a transfer to the janitorial service. Please disregard all information contained in his articles over the years, we apologize for the inconvenience."
