Leafs Suck
Crosby - Lemieux - Palffy Recchi - Gonchar Actually I think Mario would be playing the wing with Crosby at centre. Rex will likley play on the #2 unit. Don't forget they have Tarnstrom who is an excellent offensive Dman. Lemieux - Crosby - Palffy Tarnstrom - Gonchar Malone - Malkin - Recchi Jackman - Ryan Whitney SICK PP lineup...
Psycing
If Pitts lands a goalie and a better D or 2.... they're serious contenders. They've certainly got the offense.

I've heard they have a self-imposed cap of 31-33 million though and Burke would definitely be cheaper then Cujo.
Psycing
I guess they want someone for just a year who can help tutor Fleury.... Personally I'd choose Burke over Cujo for this....

I think Caron would be the back-up in Pittsburgh.
puck7x
Pens sign Sean Burke... http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/article.jsp...809_141625_5100
Tony_
Bleh decent pick up by the Pens. Better than having Caron or the other guy (not Chiodo or Fleury) they had in nets last year.
jetsniper
do you mean J-S Aubin? I think they released him. 2 year deal so I'd expect it to be Burke/Caron this year and Burke/Fleury next year. It's too bad, I hope they trade Chiodo. I think he has awesome potential but he'll never get his shot in Pittsburgh.
simonus
chiodo was tons of fun to watch last season. He is definitely one of those guys that make you wonder if you are seeing more skill than is really there, but he made some clunky games exciting. Psycing
Looks like Burke 'ducked' his way out of the Pittsburgh contract and landed himself in Tampa Bay....
jetsniper
How the hell does that work? Did sportsnet or whoever just get it wrong or something?
Trizzak
Yep. Anyways, Valeri Bure signed with LA
Leafs Suck
I never liked Pavel but man was that guy a great player. Best goal scorer, other then Mario, that I've seen in my lifetime.

Tony_
Dude, Cujo is a bargain at that price. With bonus' and all, he could make $1.5M. Not bad for a guy who's in the top 10 goalies in NHL history with the most wins. Hopefully he can shrug off that one bad season in Detroit and start a whole new thing with Phoenix. Leafs Suck
Joseph has alot of bonuses tied in. If he hits most of them, it'll be for more then 2 mil.

BTH
(for shotcat1:) Stumpel has a $3.5M contract.... I really think Cujo is overrated. The leafs harped on about him but it was the meda that made him out to be better than he actually was. In his prime, he still wouldn't guarantee a spot in today's top 10 goalies in the league. Psycing
Looks like Dan Cloutier is staying in Vancouver. (BTW, this post makes this topic the most replied to topic on the forums. However, it's main rival is "HabsWorld EHM Online League?" which is also still alive and well.)
Tony_
Leafs sign Aubin if anyone hasn't noticed. I wonder what the Leafs' GM is cooking up.
shortcat1
Zubrus resigns with Washington. Two years, on top of that. I'm afraid I don't understand that situation at all. :?- Philadelphia drafted him and he didn't work out for them. Poor motivation...? :?- He was involved in that horrible trade by Montreal which sent LeClair and Desjardins to Philadelphia in return for Zubrus and Recchi (boy, was Montreal ever burned on that one! :puke: :nono: :puke: ). He just couldn't get going for Montreal. Poor motivation...? :?- Then he was traded to Washington along with Trevor Linden for Zednik, Bulis and a draft pick (Perezoghin) (BOY, THE CANADIENS WON THAT TRADE HANDS DOWN!!! :/) ). He still hasn't done a whole lot. Poor motivation...? :?- Now Washington resigns him. Is it poor motivation on their part too...? :?- I don't know what's going on with him and with Washington now. :?- :?- :?- [Edited on 2005/8/19 by shortcat1]
