shortcat1
I checked the on-line stats for this site and 17 Members are browsing HabsWorld Forum. Pretty quiet for that number of people.
shortcat1
Latendresse, in his interview, said that he's a bit disappointed but he believes that the decision is the best for him. Latendresse figures the reasons for his going down were because of his need for more development and also that there really wasn't any place for him on the team due to the number of good prospects that already paid their dues. He's going to take a few days off for rest, go back to his team and try to take them as far as he can. He also hopes to make the U-20 team. The kid sounds really level-headed. It's good to hear. I think there is less talk though because we are all waiting for the real thing.
shortcat1
Gainey, in his interview, says that he has long-term confidence in GL. He says that GL was sent back down for his development. He says that Latendresse is a player who needs 12 to 15 minutes play time per game and it would be difficult to give him that. Gainey said that the public's desire to have Latendresse stay with the Canadiens didn't really impact on his decision. He's very confident about the 'rightness' of his decision. As to the two others to send back to Hamilton, he figures that they'll have a decision after the game. As to any trades being made till noon tomorrow, he says that it's possible but if it takes place, it won't be a 'big' trade.
