The master of the ONE-WORDERS won't be too active tonight, I'm afraid and ashamed to say. I'll be visiting my dad in North Bay and, even though 'priorities, you know' rule, he doesn't have the internet, nevermind a wireless router to which my dell laptop can connect (the neighbours don't either... ). Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, I'm going to try to put my 2 cents in before that. We leave Sudbury at about 17h00 and I'll have to bid you farewell at that time. :puke::puke::puke: [Edited on 2005/10/8 by shortcat1]

Everyone thinking X-Habs will haunt us this game is just crazy talk. OK so we are all a little crazy, but that is what makes us fanatics for the Habs. Old tired X-Habs like Kilgor are no threat. The overrated Polish prince will not keep up with our youth. Higgins and Bulis will show them what a real hockey players are. There's a guy to watch. If the Habs win the Leafs will be screwed because their confidence drops more than it would against losing to another team. And then there are the injuries. Agreed there. I listened to some Bulldog games on radio last year and it was the same thing. Wellwood seems to have a voodoo doll of our team stuck real good with pins. But then again, maybe he's sold his soul to the devil for some temporary glory in being a bother to the Habs. Maybe too he's the evil reincarnation of Harold Ballard come back haunt us... (and other really stupid and imaginary 'not dressed for work' dark-clouded dreams)...

After beginning the season with a 2-1 win in Boston on Wednesday, the Habs managed a 4-3 overtime victory at the Rangers the following night. Against New York, Michael Ryder scored his second game-winning goal in as many nights, this one 2:10 into overtime. Ryder, who scored the game-winning goal with 11.1 seconds left in Montreal's win over Boston, finished with two goals and Jose Theodore stopped 16 shots between the pipes. Christopher Higgins and Alexander Perezhogin both notched their first NHL career goals for the Canadiens. Ryder's start is hardly a surprise after his rookie 2003-04 season in which he broke out with 25 goals and 38 assists in 81 games. The Canadiens will host Ottawa on Tuesday night. Toronto, meanwhile, became the first NHL team to ever lose a game via shootout Wednesday. The rival Senators beat the Leafs, 3-2, as Daniel Alfredsson and Dany Heatley both scored in the shootout to provide the difference. Eric Lindros played his first game in a Maple Leafs uniform and scored late in the third period for Toronto, which fell to 33-41-14 all-time in its season- opening games. Defenseman Bryan McCabe also scored for the Maple Leafs, who received 21 saves from 40-year old goaltender Ed Belfour. Tomas Kaberle registered an assist on both Toronto markers. Toronto captain Mats Sundin left the game in the first period after the puck hit him in the eye. Sundin suffered a fractured orbital bone and is sidelined indefinitely. The Maple Leafs will host Philadelphia on Tuesday. Toronto went 4-2 against Montreal in 2003-04. Ryder's start is hardly a surprise... GoHabs2002
5-3 Habs Goals from Souray, 2 from Kovelov, Higgins, Markov PP breaks out and goes 4 for 10, koivu gets 2 assists, Ribeiro gets 3. Toronto goals from Lindros, Ponikarovsky (or however you spell it) and Czerkawski. But one thing is for sure, Souray has to snap out of his slump. :ghg:

zumpano21
Game's not over until: 1 - Habs win 4-1. 2- Quinn has another arrhythmmia. 3 - Tucker has a seizure from forgetting to breathe during one of his rants. 4 - Lindros gets concussed courtesy of Komi. 5 - Harry Neale, Bob Cole and Don Cherry all declare themselves Habs beeyatches. I can bet $100 that there will be atleast 3 EC Teams that are within 6 points of us at the end of the year. This game is huge and I think if we win tonight, our chances against Ottawa jump a lot higher.

The best I could do. I like the chinese flavour to your poetry. It's the 'ing' factor. It gives the poetry a sunrise quality though some believe that it has weaknesses that are due to an unfortunate jaundiced appearance. I don't agree, being nick-named by my chinese friends 'one hung lo'. [Edited on 2005/10/8 by shortcat1]
