smon
Well, there ya go. So much for the preposterous let's get him for Souray rumours. http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=150221&hubname=nhl The Dallas Stars have added a solid player to the mix in veteran defenceman Janne Niinimaa. The Stars acquired the 30-year-old, along with a fifth round draft pick in the 2007 Entry Draft, from the New York Islanders for defenceman John Erskine and a second round draft pick in 2006. Decent move by both clubs. Ninnimaa can be a very good top four guy, its just that this season and Steve Stirling haven't been very kind to him. He had a falling out with the Finnish natl team coach as well apparently..guess he can't handle guys yelling at him. As for Milbury, not too bad. Erskine is a very physical defenseman, and the second could be handy. The first of many moves?

ch_nl
John Erskine? Mad Mike may have done it again. Dagenais and a pick?
JMMR
Yeah Niinimaa would have been awesome in a Habs uniform. He is not extremely overpaid either. Although he has only scored 10+ goals once, he has 40+ point seasons, which is nothing to shake a stick at. But it seems that Dingle Berry has Mike has earned himself oodles of a.k.a’s during his tenure as Isles GM was set on sending him out of conference.
