TSN reported Heatley and a teammate who's name was not released were in a car accident.

Heatley is apparently in stable condition, while the teammate is listed as in critical condition.

Not word on Heatley injuries, but as for the teammate the fact they won't release his name is BAD news.

(aka they wanted to notify the family first)

News from Atlanta... nothing new as of yet.

Update...

"Two Atlanta Thrashers were seriously injured late Monday night in a car wreck in downtown Atlanta.

Dan Snyder, 25, was listed in critical condition after suffering severe head injuries and Dany Heatley, 22, was listed in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Snyder suffered a fractured skull and doctors had to perform surgery. Heatley suffered a broken jaw and other bruises. He was reportedly conscious and talking.

According to Atlanta police, the vehicle -- with Heatley at the wheel -- struck a pillar near the Peachtree Lenox Condominiums at 3030 Lenox Road around 11 p.m.

The car was reportedly traveling at speeds upwards of 80 mph. Snyder was ejected from the car and the vehicle was cut in half, authorities said.

Thrashers President Stan Kasten held a press conference around 3 a.m. at Grady and said the team was still planning on holding a practice at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Kasten said he expected to inform the team of the news at that point.

Snyder underwent surgery on his ankle three weeks ago and was placed on the injured list.

Heatley was the NHL Rookie of the Year in 2002 and was voted the MVP of the league All-Star Game last year after collecting four goals.

The Thrashers are set to begin this year's season on Oct. 9"

Doesn't look good for Snyder, I wish him the best though.

And Now TSN has the full story too... I'm off to bed, wishing Snyder the best.
