Erikspn is an incredible player and they get better prospects back. This trade is a huge win for Boston. Seguin is great, but obviously had some issues.

Doing nothing is doing something stupid. You can't go into next year with the same team and hope for much different results... Especially with Boston and Toronto improving and Detroit coming... Year one was MB's time to evaluate, now is the time for him to put his stamp on the team...

Looks like the Bruins are going to add Luis Erikson to their lineup. A great scorer. I know Seguin is a good player but I like the trade for Boston. With word out that Montreal is out of the Clowe race just wondering if MB is going to do anything...

I agree.. Where has the drive and passion gone from these players? He's a millionaire, enough money.. Why not put on the jersey you wore as a kid, the team you loved growing up. I just don't get it. He had a chance to come home, and instead he chose to sign with a rival. I've been a huge Vinny fan for years, but not anymore. He represents what I hate about the sports world... Rarely does an athlete do what he is passionate about anymore.. Congrats Lecavalier.. You're the Lebron James of the NHL... Without the future success.

Set at centre? With who? Galchenyuk and Eller are great, but they also played their best hockey together. DD and Pleks?i expect MB has something up his sleeve... Because the status quo isn't going to cut it. Will we really be satisfied with a first round exit?

With Subbam, hopefully Price, a few young guns... The goal should be WIN NOW. Lecavalier as a 1 and Pleks as a 2 gives us a way better shot. You don't win in 2 or 3 years...

From the reports it looks like Bergevin wouldn't give him 5 years, holding firm at 3. If that is why Lecavalier is not a Hab then Bergevin failed.

Brutal. For that money he should be in Montreal. The 5 years sucks but ensures he retires a Hab. Marc B dropped the ball here. A chance to bring in a total upgrade on the roster and he fails. The Habs will never win the cup with DD and Plex as a top 2.

Not bad once you read Thomas' write up at Hockey's Future. Does he make the team next year or is he a year or two away?

With the amount of teams looking for depth at centre... No way would DD be unmoveable... Somebody would give a 3rd or 4th for him.

Using a player instead of picks makes sense if you have to open roster spots for free agent signings... (Dreams of Bickell and Lecavalier)

I've read all the blogs and rumour sites.. And I can tell you this.. Montreal is going to somehow acquire the 14th or 15th pick to draft Anthony Mantha. I could see a player (DD or Markov plus the 25)

You have to try and get him.. Remember, the NHL is a business and bringing in Lecavalier would be huge for merchandise sales. I would order a jersey the day he signed...

I don't understand the Leafs talk.. Why would a kid who grew up loving the Habs, has been adored by their fans even while playing for a different team.. Sign with their rival?

Not hearing any rumors.. but any chance Montreal takes a run at Skinner out of Carolina.. him and Subban are friends (I think) and Carolina could keep the 5th while still acquiring Markov...
