  1. He also nearly ran the top prospect out of town. A kid who after the Stamkos injury is now proving that he was NHL ready and he is lighting things up on the scoreboard but just needed more playing time. People complain about therrien in regards to how galchenyuk was used on lw and on the third line. How about playing Drouin on the fourth line and then sending him to the AHL and having the kid hate the coach so much he demanded a trade? Drouin isn't blameless here, he acted selfishly with the take your ball and go home stunt, but it never should have got to that. He never should have been a fourth liner who then got demoted.

  2. It does seem that the Kings will require significant retooling if they're to avoid going the way of the 2011 Canucks. Chicago still seems fine; their core is so damned strong. Still, their D are *starting* to get long in the tooth. But they may well have a Cup or two left in them. The hysteria about MT continues. But what habsrule's post about the Rags shows is that even impeccable excellent coaches face exactly the same kind of unrelenting demonization. Even Vigneault isn't good enough. Neither is multiple Cup winner Sutter, apparently. Maybe a better question to ask is not whether MT is bad or when he will be fired, but rather: who are the GOOD NHL coaches out there? There's Quenneville, Trotz, and Babcock. Anyone else, according to all the coaching experts around here?

  3. I have always said, when you win the coach gets too much credit, when you lose they take too much blame. When they have been around too long they get fired Le Genius has been around too long. Good coaches get fired Bad coaches get fired. You can't fire the team. That has been tried with very little success. Firing the trainer won't work. We tried firing some assistants, that did not seem to help. Who do you want to fire? Because if you are going to tell me that worst melt down in the history of the Montreal Canadiens is not a firing offence? I choose to disagree heartily. Really? You are proud of what went on this year? Come on man.
