I admire Julian, and would be happy if he were hired (anyone is better than MT at this point) ...CJ and Muller would make an excellent duo behind the bench. Having said that, the Habs are not the Bruins, and CJ's coaching style is centered on defence first, and then stresses forecheck forecheck forecheck....not so sure that makes for a great fit with the current version of our beloved team...so while is he, no doubt, a better version of what MT brings, i think the team might need to go in a different direction.

There are a number of issues with Price, not just his save % - puck handling: one thing i have noticed (as i am sure most of you have) Price's puck handling hasn't been sharp either...which tells me (anyway) that he isn't focused. A newborn will do that too you. Unhappy with teammates: this shows up with Price's body language.. for instance, after a Markov giveaway led to a Bruins scoring chance, Price made a great pad save, but after the save his body language (at least to me) seems to say "WTF?!?"...ive noticed this more than just a few times now His leadership role: another factor with Price is the room itself; its changed significantly from last year. The last few years Price was the true leader in that room, but i'm speculating that he isn't any longer ... So who is the catalyst in the room?? Weber doesn't come close to PK when it comes to keeping it light...Shaw is a talker but (i'm pretty sure) no one takes him seriously. Max is not the rah-rah type either. I don't think Radulov is a great communicator lol. I think this is where we maybe miss PK the most

When Price is off...he can look really awful. that same calm effortless style that makes him such a joy to watch when he's on his game - works against him when he's not playing well. I also wonder about his relationship with MT...*nagging thought that those two don't care for each other much

i agree with the sentiment of your post MoLG...we can't just keep apologizing for the team year after year...i say again this is as good a year as any to make a serious run. who thought the Bolts would be last going into the stretch??...Julien fired going INTO the stretch, Detroit on the decline (Babcock was smart to get out)...the Sens are emerging as our only obstacles - i admit they have our number - but they are very beatable...i mean why not try?

agreed...but if the team starts winning again and looks like a serious SC contender, the fans will come around. BTW, i did not like the PK - Weber trade (kinda bizarre move) ...but Weber isn't the problem..

the fans got over PK (mostly) ...they'll get over whoever they package ...especially if it makes us SC contender this year and next...

Commandant (ur the best) but with all due respect the fan base has been hearing about the sky not falling for years...look at washington, not the greatest defensive team, albeit a very very good goalie, they simply outscore the opposition..something (under MT) we simply cannot do. As for the leafs; with that young core of snipers, in a few years they will be scoring 3 per game (it can happen) and they will be contenders...i guess what i'm trying to say is - THIS season has everything going for the Habs...honestly the planets couldn't have aligned any better!!. think about it...tampa is out of it...boston is in a funk, detroit is out of the picture, laffs aren't there yet, Sens will self destruct...i really feel this is the year where we can at least get to the finals...if MB doesn't see this then he's in a fog. Get a top line center now...the fans know its going to cost a good player. But we need to fill the gap...and maybe we surprise everyone and make a real run for it.
