You are right that Boston moves from 32nd by losing but Florida will still be at 17 unless they beat the Leafs. Then they move to 29-32 if they beat the Leafs. "Teams that lose in the first two rounds of the playoffs (17–28) are ranked by reverse order of regular season standings, except that a team that won their division picks later in the round than a team that lost their division, even if the latter had the better record. So the earliest a regular-season division winner can pick is #25. Teams that lost in the Conference Championships (29–30) are seeded by reverse order of regular-season points."

Correct. That's what makes the next series such a conflict for me. Heaven forbid the Leafs win the cup but I would much rather draft 17th than 30th. The only time in my life I cheer for the Bruins and they screw me over.

I wouldn't totally hate it either as watching Jack Edwards would be fun however I would much rather lock in the #17 pick and have a team that has a much better chance of beating the Leafs. Go Bruins but I think Florida wins today.

Good to see the Oilers win. The Oilers power play was 9-17 in the series, you just can't take too many penalties against them. Evan Bouchard has become a tremendous point man on the PP.

I have a bad feeling about the Bruins, have seen this movie before. Their regular season was too easy, everything went right, no adversity. Game 7 is always such a crap shoot. If they don't come back and win tonight then I think Florida wins in 7. Florida is not intimidated about playing at the garden, have already won twice there in the playoffs.

Fan do like blue collar types but I would gladly take a player who is a little lazy if they could score like Brett Hull (741 career goals is not too shabby).

Cheveldayoff has a big decision to make, rebuild or go hard to win it next year. I think it's rebuild time in Winnipeg, get what you can for Scheifele, Dubois and Hellebuyck while they still have good market value and go with young guys. Trying to fill in spots with UFA's is not easy as Winnipeg is not a preferred destination.

The most shocking thing to me about the playoffs so far is the Rangers losing 3 in a row after winning the 1st 2 in Jersey.

Getting Ekholm was huge for the Oilers, allowed Kulak to move to the 3rd pairing and that really solidified their defense. Anyone know why game 6 is not until Saturday? Arena availability?

I think if the Habs are fortunate to draft 1 or 2 (move up in the lottery) and are able to get get Bedard or Fantilli then their interest in Dubois will be lessened.

Pretty much a must win for Tampa. Would love to see this series go to 7 games, 3 periods of overtime in the 7th game with Tampa prevailing.
