Expendable: Dagenais, Streit, Zednik, Ribeiro, Bonk. Any of these can be replaced as they are currently doing nothing for the team. Dagenais and Ribeiro can't keep up. Bonk is supposedly a good defensive player but how many give aways in our own end has he had lately? Way too many. Zednik though he has some grit and a bit of a scoring touch spends too much time skating in a straight line along the boards. Never gets in front of the net. Striet is not NHL material. Traverse was better. Cote was also better.

I'd be very surprised to see Komisarek back before Saturday. Souray better see how bad his groin really is.

We haven't called up any forwards yet, even with Kovalev, Bonk, Sundstrom and Bulis all missing some games. It is time to go to the farm and let Ribs eat hot dogs in the press box for a few games to figure out what to do with his life. Locke might be the type to help this squad out. Let Begin centre Ryder and Zednik. Koivu centre Perezhogin and Plekanec. Bonk, Bulis Sundstrom and finally Locke Higgins Dagenais. Cote did not look that bad out there except on Alphie's goal.
