I think the Boggalot theory must apply here too. That many of our prospects are playing 20 games a year in NCAA or whatever they call it. 4 years later, they don't have nearly the developement they should. Kristo, McDo, Fisher, Leblanc.... How good are these guys? WHo knows? they don't play hockey! Then you can add all the Russians that have defected from the system and our prospects look a lot deeper than they are. We have no depth. Partly due to drafting, partly due to developement (gainey seems to have recognized this, and made neccessary changes.) partly due to where your draft choices play and how easy it is to work them into your system at a young age. And get the value out of them in a cap system. I agree with Bog. If a player plays in college for 2 or 3 years, that's 2 or 3 years that you will not have him on the big team. that's 2 or 3 years earlier that he get's a raise. that's 2 or 3 years earlier that he moves on. or you trade him without really knowing what you have, like McDO.

Gomez, Pyatt, White? man Gomez has talent. It was apparent last night. He can get into the zone with speed. Him and Plek seem to be the only ones that can gain the zone and still have the puck. How are a couple diggers going to help him?

well for the money maybe pyatt? who knows until he plays at least a season. higgins is minus 10 right now.

i expect you will see a lot of this with ovie. he is too reckless. i don't predict a long career for him. might be a lot of years, but not many games per year.

SK is much better offensively. I didn't even mention him going down. SK has to stay up. He is too good for the minors. but I will put money on Pyatt developing into a solid third liner. Just like his brother.

Atlanta is the next Chicago if you ask me. If I was Kovalchuck, I would stick it out. They have been mired in the bottom so long, and some of their young guys are really starting to look good.

so who do you send down? i believe that Chipchura is done as a canadien. I can't figure out which one of white or pyatt to keep up. They both take turns impressing me as fourth liners. Can either of them fight? White definitely forces plays and hits hard, but Pyatt shows signs of being a speedy intelligent 3rd line shut down guy.

I'd put AK with Gio and Gomer... and SK with cammie and plek. also, White and Pyatt = way better than Chip and Stewart

man, i just watched the game on canadiens express. SK looks very good. He was fantastic tonight. He has that fire that I wish his bro had.

Well, Sergei was trying to do too much tonight. That sucks. Price let in one softy from crosby. it was a hard accurate wrister though. the guerin goal was a little smelly too. No i think he had 22 points in 23 games before last night. now he is PPG. Nice to see after 24 games.
