Anyone kow what Higgins' face off percentage was? I was watching and saaw him win few faceoffs, but I don't even know if he was the centre for the whole game. I was distracted by taxes. I watched on the Buffalo channel. Man is that guy biased. One thing he pointed out was his disapointment at the cheering when it looked like Begin injured Sekera. Just let the chips fall where they may. If Flyer's win, they pass Boston...I would rather play Boston. If Pens win...our chances of 1st in the East are less. I agree. Higgins was a centre in junior. I don't think he is good on the faceoff though. When Koivu is waived, Ryder usually takes the face off...when that line is together.

Who we play is not important. CAN'T be important. How we play is everything. We need Begin to be a beast out there. I think Vancouver is close to having a playoff team. 15 4th liners and a goalie. No' just kidding, but seriously, I think that a few pieces to the puzzle and they have a true playoff team. Think Dallas, New Jersey. Who were their superstars? Where were their offensive contributions? Vancouver has a pile of 180 pound kids that can grind and pound your soul until you lose the will to compete. I like the team for the first time in my life, and I was raised in BC. I just made my $25.00 bet that the HABS would make the finals. The last times I made this bold bet were quite productive. 1986. Got the cup and I won $20.00. 1988 lost $50.00 because Mike Vernon cheated by knocking the net off the moorings every time a goal was iminent. 1993 I won $150.00 smackers. This year I figure the East doesn't really scare me too much. Any team including the Caps could make the finals.
