  1. oh my GOD!! Look at the picture of Kovalev with Rivet on RDS/TSN... Kovalev is actually SMILING!!! First time this year I think!
  2. hehe, was just dreamin out loud boys... I know it's not feasible. I ain't loco! ;-)
  3. Ahhhh, knew I forgetting someone! Higgins - Koivu - Kovalev Samsonov - Plekanec - Ryder Milroy - Grabovski - Kostitsyn Latendresse - Lapierre - Perezhogin Makes it even more scary. Streit goes back on defense, we let Begin go.
  4. ... a lineup of forwards like this next season: Higgins - Koivu - Kovalev Samsonov - Plekanec - Ryder Milroy - Grabovski - Kostitsyn Latendresse - Lapierre - Begin/Streit Checking line? Fuhgeddaboudit. Let the OTHER team worry about checking US. Now wouldn't this be a set of lines that would make other teams shit in their pants to be facing...?
  5. Hey, in his first game with the Bulldogs Biron's got a goal and an assist already, and that's after only one period. Souray the 2nd! ;-)
  6. Might not be as crazy as ya think. Tampa has no depth - after the big 3 (and sometimes Prospal), it drops off DRASTICALLY. A good goalie, a good prospect and some secondary scorers might land Richards.
  7. yeah, you're right. We'd have to send them over a big salary too. Souray? Niinimaa ? ;-)
  8. He's gettin pissed off with his team... that's good! Wouldn't it be great if we could wrangle Richards away from him somehow? Richards is struggling a little this year actually (by Richards' standards anyhow)... he could someone Feaster might move. Who do we trade to get Richards? I think they really need a goalie over there in Tampa... and we are quite deep with goalies in our system. What about a package that includes Halak... think he'd bite?
  9. Boy did we ever steal one there eh I'm kinda surprised by how Marc Denis has turned into a pretty mediocre goaltender. He used to be quite highly touted.
  10. Everybody knows Finns and Swedes don't mix. There's a big rivalry there... to say the least. Finns don't especially care for Russians too much either.
  11. Good point Cataclaw. I think you might might be right. Either that or Kovalev sooks when he's not on the #1 line.
  12. I like those lines, but I do really like Streit on that 4th line. He really brings some creativity to it. He and Downey could platoon depending on whether we need a goon that particular night or not. Murray? Salut Salaud.... Begin-Plekanec-Streit... that line could pop a few goals, I betcha.
  13. hehehe.... One other Borat fan here at least, I see.
  14. Well, if I was Carbo/Gainey, I know what I'd do: once Higgins is back playing, I'd immediately get Kovalev to go get his knee fixed so he's back at 100% and fresh for the stretch run/playoffs. He's just not the same player since that knee on knee hit he got some weeks ago. We need Kovalev at 100% to make a run deep into the playoffs. We'll get by without Kovy for 6 weeks... we did so when Higgins was out and we'll do it again.
  15. Not Milroy... he's just starting to come alive this year!
  16. Man, the goaltending depth in the Habs organization is unreal. I like!
  17. (I had this buried in the game thread from last night so I thought I'd lift it out and give it it's own thread and open it up for discussion if anyone cares to...) I think it's time for Bonk to have a shot at centering the 2nd line. This is *NOT* the same Bonk we saw last year. He's showing great generalship on the ice, nice stickhandling, hanging onto the puck well, and excellent work in the opposing zone down low. See him tonight when he had the puck behind the Florida net and about 3 Panthers couldn't get it away from him? I know I know - we don't want to break up that very good 3rd line... but I think Plekanec could hold down the fort on the 3rd nicely. You never know guys - this could be the big, strong 2nd line playmaking centre we've been looking for all this time... right under our noses.
  18. They are beautiful looking jerseys though... but yeah, the numbers are hard to make out.
