Seriously, he's been damn lucky tonight. -
Koivu and Kovalev together for the 1st time this year

I will give him some slack the second he will worth his contract, so... never. -
Is Carbo a good coach?
JoeLassister replied to The Chicoutimi Cucumber's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Don't like Kovy on PK and Rivet instead of Bouillon on PP. Hope that with the come back of Bégin, Kovy will be out of the PK, not cuz he's so bad, but because he isn't a factor on the PK. Carbo better keep him in shape for the 5 on 5. -
With Zidliky, Timmonen and Vishnevski they're not so bad...

If playing well means 0 shot on goal and 4 PIM at his last 2 games... then yeah he's been playing well. -
I think too many Quebecois remember what Doan said about them before Turin. But the main question is : Is hockeyleaks a site i can trust concerning rumours?

I can't believe Perez will be in the stands instead of Niinimaa. I know Carbo likes to use 7 d's but WHY??? Let Streit do his job on d and Perez on the 4rth. With Niinimaa out of the lineup, Habs won't be on PK so often ! -
Wish it will be Murray. Since nobody picked him last time we don't have to send him on waivers again, no?

True. This man is the key player on the team. -
According to RDS.ca, Bégin could play on saturday against Ottawa. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/223003.html What should we do with the lines with him playing??? This lineup comes from thread Ottawa vs Habs Higgins - Koivu - Ryder Samsonov - Plekanec - Kovalev Latendresse - Bonk - Johnson Perezhogin - Lapierre - Streit Personnaly, i would let Lapierre there with Begin and Perez and return Streit on defense. First line remains the same, Kovy-Plex-Lats, Samso-Bonk-Johnson. On defense scratch Niinimaa or Dandenault (i'm not sure who is better by this time). Streit, Markov, Komi, Souray, Bouillon and Niinimaa/Dandenault. I think Rivet still has flu. What you guys think will happen tomorrow?

Markov, Samsonov and Begin are back now. It's a new game. -
Is this site a good one? Can we trust a text who say Montreal is in the race for Bertuzzi?

Peter Forsberg... Where Does His Future Lie?
JoeLassister replied to blaze53's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I agree that it will take a key ingredient and Souray is the key to a good deal for us. Everyone knows he wants to play in Cali or on the West coast (i'd prefer he sign here for 3 years but...) we will lost him this summer for sure. I think at least one team in the whole NHL will want to improve their PP for the playoffs. If you don't like the idea to throw Perez, Grabo, Kots or Plex, for my part i'd be very happy to throw Souray, Abby and Perez or Kots for a good center player and a youngster in a kind of 3-way trade. -
Je n'ai pas encore perdu espoir de voir Andrei dans l'uniforme du Canadien. Quand je pense à Ryder qui a mis plusieurs années avant d'être à la hauteur...

Doan will be UFA but not Marleau. Gotta wait another year... http://www.nhlnumbers.com/ -
Does someone got a stat about the team who has been shutouted (*spelling) the most often during a season. Cuz i think the BJ are heading for the title with their 12th shutout loss. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=195164&hubname=

I'd like to see what Simon Cowell from American Idol would say about the guy on your avatar...

Their is a HUGE difference between a season overtimes and playoff overtimes. A 1 game lead vs a 1 point lead !!! Ask all the players if they want to play a 20 min overtime who will finish at 12h00 in Vancouver and play the very next day at 19h in Florida??? There is no way it would work. Shootout is better for TV, better for the schedule, better for the fans (I've been to the game in Bell Centre against Edmonton, and i would have been VERY disapointed if the game has ended after the OT). Bringing shootout make you put more snipers in the lineup instead of goons too. And i forgot about the players. They would be tired after 70 mins of play, so they would be less concentrated. The game would be more disconnected. The most you get tired, the most you have chance to be injured. You would see a lot more injuries and many less players diving in front of a shot as we see in playoffs. Sudden death OT is good only for the playoffs when it's all about courage and toughness. Here in Montréal, we love hockey and a draw isn't so bad, but in Columbus or Tampa Bay, shootout is way better and fans might like it much than a draw.
