  1. Getting a groin injury might be the best thing he does for this club this season.
  2. MAF is going to be the hole in the penguins, I don't think he will be as good this year.
  3. Gainey will be gone long before Koivu ever leaves. You're going to lose $100
  4. So when do the Nazi's that rule over the forum get an overhaul of their frontal lobe?
  5. Yes because it would impossible to find another d-man to fill that vital 7th defenceman position! We would have to pack in the season. Aren't you tired of being wrong yet? But seriously if this doesnt turn into a bigger trade Gainey just sat on his @$$ this offseason and did next to nothing to improve this team. He will and should be held entirely to blame for alot of things that have gone wrong.
  6. Why would I say that? Koivu was pretty much the only player belonging on the first line last season. He is a first line center when he has quality wingers who also belong there, unfortunatly he is stuck carrying the team most of the time which drags him game down and puts alot of pressure on him. Cammalleri is a step into the future, he is a replacement when Koivu finally does retire. His arbitration says 3.35million or something which is a steal.
  7. I dunno 80 points last season is pretty damn good, Koivu has yet to hit 80 points in his career and he did it second season in says he is going to do nothing but improve. He's shown he elevates his game when played with the best talent so he belongs on the first line.
  8. Yes if he hasn't reached max potential by his 2nd full season in the league he aint worth shit!
  9. Wheres the crybaby emoticon? The fanboys sure come out in droves to defend whenever Gainey farts. Another NON move by Gainey, just keeping the media fed and giving people something to talk about other than his lack of progress.
  10. If his arbitration comes out higher than LA wants to pay that will lessen his value to the league and they will get less for him. If LA thinks say 4 million (example) is too much to keep him than what will the rest of the league think? No I don't think we will get dragged through the ringer for him, Ryder and someone decent might even land him if Gainey has any bargaining savvy at all. I think this whole "Everyone wants Gainey to give it all for nothing" BS is just an excuse for Gaineys non-moves. How long before that mantra dies out and people wake up?
  11. $700000 isn't bad, he can be an injury call up or something.
  12. "Knows his value" so much they are taking him to arbitration and not locking him up long term?
  13. I think bob needs to put together a good package for Cammalleri if he hasn't done so yet. I am thinking... Ryder Streit Pick/prospect Seriously the guy is exactly what we need, Great center with definite 1st line potential. I know losing streit would be horrible but I dont think Dandy and ryder would do it. Bob get it done!!
  14. Our leading scorer gets dumped to the third line while someone who has never even played in the NHL gets 1st line duty? I would love to dump Kovalev but no chance Teemu is coming here.
  15. Giving money to ANY religious figure is a scam but i'm not going to get into that argument in here. If LA takes that hack Raycroft in trade and gives Cammalleri to T.O they will never be forgiven. Not only will we be seriously screwed but leafers will be over joyed. T.O better have to atleast give up Wellwood for Cam.
  16. If a big trade does not immediatly follow "breeze-bys" signing get ready to form a lynch mob for Gainey. He has seriously not improved this team in the off season so far and PB is not a step in the right direction.
  17. If you skim the forums you will find all of the rumors "eklund" supposedly reports. 9/10 times I will see the exact rumor posted there that magically shows up the next day as front page nonsense. The people that pay for that tripe are the same ones who give money to evangelists or invest in pyramid scemes..fools.
  18. I think this basically proves Eklund is nothing more than a lying bag of wind. http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/webl...lidstrom_close/ People pay this guy to lie to them.
  19. Well had you watched them the first time you wouldn't need to do it again now would you. Either way no one is gonna get proven wrong here so give it a rest.
  20. Go watch the games and then come back. Huet let in very few soft goals. Boom. There went your class.
  21. Huet didn't fall apart, the team collapsed around him. Anyone who actually watched the games could see Huet still playing well. The only people who say Huet played poorly are the same people who rant and rave how Price should be our starter next year. Sickening. :puke:
  22. Removing Souray will improve and balance our Powerplay and cause our offensive players to achieve more points. And I don't see Kosty getting less than 20 goals.
  23. I agree with this. Huet is good, but always seems to fizzle (perhaps it's exhuastion?) about 30-40 games in. Theo, when he was solid (which was for A LONG time. I started following him from the 1996 World Juniors when he was named the all-star goalie of the tournament. can't remember if it was him or Iginla who was Tournament MVP, but if it wasn't him, he was close) was REALLY solid. He's lost it now, but that was after years of really really good play. Come on guys...don't be stupid. Theo was a fluke. Boston would have beaten Montreal in both years if Theo was not so lucky. When Boston outshot Montreal 40-15 he was lucky posts, missed nets, hit legs, bad calls. Jeez, anybody could have done that. The guy was as solid as hanging a shirt. Boston were chokers anyways. He was lucky to beat out Stephane Fiset for the starters role. It was the Habs defense that protected him all year. Especially the work of Robidas, Dykhuis and Traverse. Seeing as all of our forwards were 4th line checkers, they protected him by coming back. THe real shame of that season as that they went with Theo and not Oliver Michaud. He was a kid, but who cares with a limited unimportant resume he could have had the same breaks and won the MVP as well. Why not, he is not in the league anymore either. Plus Huet at that time was destroying the Swiss A league for Lugano. He could have done the same thing. ######s Oh god like we've never beaten Boston before, does anyone think we are not a lock for always beating boston reguardless of teams? Seriously Huet has shut them down countless times as has Halak for crying out loud. Not to mention Koivus return in that series I have heard on multiple occasions broadcasters say that Montreal would have beaten anyone that first round just because of Koivu. Wow Stephane Fiset! Geez what was I thinking? If he could beat him he must surely be the next coming of ROY! I love how you chose the three worst defenseman and didnt mention Brisebois, Markov or Rivet, not biased at all. No Theo wasnt a flash in the pan at all, he was a solid goalie way back when and is still one today thanks mostly to his solid positio...errr good rebound cont...ummm prominant hairline? Yeah we should have kept him, what the heck was Gainey thinking when he moved him? :puke:
  24. Wow SAKS and you weren't even trying, I commend you.
