This is great news. I am very happy the A didn't go to Kovalev, that would have been a huge mistake.

Since there is a strange undecided air about the roster in our final week of pre-season, mostly concerning a few D and goaltending situation, I'm going out on a limb and predict Halak, Dandy, and Grabs will be gone by wednesday. I have no idea who's coming our way. Something is going on. Not to mention the fact that there isn't a real rumour going around the internet. That is usually when BG strikes. Then again, whenever I go out on a limb, the opposite happens. Take what you will from that, but I'm feeling something.

Stupid if you ask me. Just like the L.A Kings hired that dope Anthony Robbins to motivate them a few years back. That sure worked. NO!. A smarter move would be to hire a on ice fight coach to teach Laps, Komi, Ryan, Begin Murray etc to beat the living piss out of someone when it's called for. That would motivate a whole lot more then getting them to look in the mirror and say "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it people like me" You honestly think Kovalev or Koivu will benefit from this? Come on. This is by far the cheesiest thing the Habs have done in a long time.

I felt the same thing when I read that story. I always imagined that coach and GM would closely monitor camp together and knowing each other's agenda would come into play when it came to making cuts. I found Gainey's comments odd and out of character. Maby he is covering Carbo's ass when indeed they do send Price down, or maby Gainey really wants Price to stay and Carbo doesn't. All in all it doesn't matter to me. For the moment Huet looks to be the only one truly ready to play at a high level at the moment. Just like Gainey said the way things are In montreal all goalies will develop no matter where they are. We'll see in a week or so.

O.K after seeing the highlights I must jump on a Pleks bandwagon. All three goals were sweet. I didn't really see that from him before. Remember when Bulis scored 4 goals, and everyone had him pegged to break out? Anyways , good for Pleks. He is not flashy but comes in under the radar with quiet solid efforts. He is in the Carbo mold if I've ever seen it but not the be all end all. A very important piece of the puzzle to say the least. 4-1 now. Someone please update the goal scorer.
