Can anyone tell me why DD was on that PP???? I still don't get why we don't have Galchenyuk, Gally and MaxPac for the #1 unit. DD has done nothing to deserve his 5 on 5 ice time, let alone starting almost every PP.

I really don't get why White is out, unless he is hurt.

I'd be okay with ripping of the C from Gionta and putting it on Galleghar today.

Frankly, I'd also look at moving Gorges - and I've been a huge supporter of his for years. But we need more size on the backend. From our experieinced Dmen, we've got Subban, Markov, Emelin and then two kids I'd like t see as regulars next year in Tinordi and Bealieau. What we need is a mean net clearing stay at home dman who can skate reasonably well for today's game to be a good mentor to Tinordi.

I hope he wins. I'm rooting for him more then Subban for the Norris (despite Subban being my favorite player), because this kid plays with more heart and NEVER seems to take a shift off. I can't remember the last time we had a guy who worked as hard as consistenlty as Gallagher has AND has skill to boot (i.e. we aren't talking about a Begin or Kostoupolus here).

I would have kept Halpern in the lineup. He earned it with his effort in game 2. Like i said earlier, with Bourque's suspension history, i wouldn't be surprised if he is suspended either. Anyway, like i said earlier, regardless of how we do, i want some major changes in getting rid of Gionta, Moen (Big, but not overly physical) and Kaberle (probably gone anyways). I'd give DD a shot at wing, but otherwise move him. I'd also see if we can get a good young players from the oilers for a package including Gorges. I'd like our D to get bigger. Tinordi, Emelin and Subban are a good start. But we need some more size on the back-end.

I don't think it mattered. I was pissed at the ref pulling him off Turris. If I was MT, i would have forced DD, Maxpac and Ryder to play defense. maybe they would have actually worked up a sweat. he has got the suspension history. I believe he was suspended 2 or 3 times while playing for Calgary.

If Gionta isn't healthy enough to be a factor he shouldn't be playing. Same goes with Maxpac. I'm a big maxpac fan, but he has been invisible to awful in this series.

Pleks hasn't contributed offensively, but he has been solid defensviely and was key to our PK successes in game 2.

What about the uncalled cross check to the head of SUbban by Conacher to start the game. I think that set the tone for the game.

Price has not been consistent and needs to provide stability, it may not be fair, but the goalie is the last line of defence. Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, I don't want Gio and Moen (and of course Kaberle) back next year. I would also try and move DD if they can - but under no circumstance should he be a centre anymore. I think we need a more vocal leader until some of our kids grow up. We have a solid group of kids in Gallegher, Galchenyuk, Subban, Maxpac, Tinordi and Eller. SOme good players that should be hitting their prime in Emelin and Price and some quiet leaders in Markov and Pleks and some good grit in White and Prust and despite my lack of faith in Bourque, he has shown enough to give him another look next year. What we need though is someone to help the group mesh together better.

Big differnce is the Sens have a true captain in Alfredsson and we've got Gionta.

I'm not putting this on Price by any means. I do think that he didn't do what was required. IMO, this loss is more on the coaching staff. If Maxpac and Gionta weren't fully ready, you go with the winning lineup. Halpern in particular should have been in the lineup. The free pass that has been given for the past month has been to DD, Maxpac, Gionta, Ryder. none of these guys have deserved the power play time they have been getting. The kid line has been under utililzed for the past month, despite being the only consistently good line. Its pretty pathetic that Moen gets in on the PP before gallegher/galchenyuk. Next game, they should either have Pleks centering the kids, or have them playing with Bourque. If maxpac isn't willing to drive to the net. sit his ass in the press box. If he isn't physically able to really contribute in a playoff game sit him. Gionta IMO has been useless and should be moved at the deadline. It isn't just that he has played lousy, but there also doesn't appear to be leadership being provided to their young core.

Win or lose, Healy and stock are anti-habs on their commentary and McLean is hardly neutral. Friedman is the only true objective guy on their panel.

both Subban and Turris were hacking away, which led to a fight. Shouldn't have been a instigator on that. White was not the one who lined up all goons after the Sens scored. How much ice time does Kassian usually get in a game???

Now we will probably get the CBC love in of the sens and go over how dysfunctional Subban is with his teammates. Price should have been pulled after the 3rd or 4th goal. If for no other reason then a momentum change. I still don't get the Subban instigator penalty they were both mixing it up, so Subban dropped the gloves.

If that's the case. MaxPac shoudn't habe been playing. I still am not sure if Gionta also played tonight. We need a new captain next year.

If i'm MT, i don't let Maxpac and DD of the ice. maybe the actually work up a sweat.

Part of the issue is that MT has made terrible decisions on how he has managed his personnel tonight. I haven't been happy with the free passes given to DD, Gionta, MaxPac, Ryder for the past couple of weeks. No reason why Pleks should be getting top PP time either. He has been great on the PK and even strength, but really has been weak on the PP. Halpern should have been in the lineup tonight - he was a key guy last game. I disagree about Price though, yes they only scored one goal. But he let in a weak goal before the wheels came off the bus.

can someone explain the instigation penalty to Subban???

Need to send Prust in after him and FORCE that SOB to fight. He always backs away from guys that are tougher then him and usually targets non-fighters. WTF. Ref now not letting Subban fight
