  1. Gallegher with another goalie interference Shit begets shit how are we only down one?
  2. giveaway by subban, give away by Briere, giveaway by Emelin. All on the PP, or end of the PP. then Bork gets away with a blatant interference call. not a good effort, yet we are only down one.
  3. anyone playing with Bourque that long would forget how to play hockey.
  4. Apparently kesler will only agree to a USA team
  5. He averaged 28.5 goals in his first two years and had 14 last year in roughly over half season last year. He has had two serious Bicep tears and is over 35 years old. In his 5th (and hopefully last season) he has 12 goals. I don't see any reason to retain him - he is a declining asset who i have no emotional attachment to and the team no longer needs. We should have kept our old captain (Koivu) instead of trading for gomer pyle. Koivu was a captain who should have retired, Gionta was paid well over the last 5 years and now should be cast aside for guys that are going to be more productive. We already have two undersized players and need someone who can actually be productive in the top 6 (which Gionta no longer is). Hell, if we could move Gionta now, i'd move him now. Markov and Pleks are the leaders I'd keep (I'd even move Pleks if we can get an Evander Kane in a package for Pleks). Gionta should be moved Wednesday or set free on July 1st. There won't be any room for him next year.
  6. I don't think we should even want him
  7. Agreed. Murray is 10 times better than Bouillon and at the same salary I'd happily keep him as the 6th/7th next year and move gorges.
  8. Seriously??? Hell, I'd try for a do over, Briere for Jagr. I'd through in a slug like Bouillon and a 3rd rounder.
  9. because without some changes by MB and MT, that's what we are headed for again. THose that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
  10. Stuck in the 70's?? I guess its too much to want the habs to be as consistent in player development and playoff appearances as the red wings, or the devils have over the past 20 years. Or even show as much consistency as the hated bruins have over the last 5 years. i guess you'll be happy with yo-yo performances year over year and quick first round exits, because our coach gets out coached again and can't adjust like the other team's coach.
  11. going 3 games in OT isn't the way i want to be winning. The first game we were damn lucky to get to OT - the team played like shit. The pens game, we were lucky that we were facing Fleury in net and MT's coaching in OT was crap. Trying to get to the shootout with the best shootout team in the league is a stupid strategy. Tonight, we started out strong and almost let the game away. If MT had treated Markov like he treated Subban last game, Markov wouldn't have been playing and made that great pass to Maxpac for the winner. These are night signs of a well coached team. This is NOT a well coached team, with the exception of the goalie coach.
  12. I hated Hayward (because he played more games than he should have), but than he wasn't a true backup, since he was over-played. having said that I thought that was probably one of our most effective tandems when a young Roy was struggling with consistency. With the defence Bunny had in front of him, i wouldn't rate him that high.
  13. yep, MT's coaching got us the two late penalties for the tie and winning goals. We won, but still lousy bench management. why was Murray out against Kessel. Why is Gionta out in OT so much? Why iGalchenyuk is nailed to the bench in OT and 4 on 4 or 4 on 3 situations is beyond me.
  14. friggin MT!! gionta out there on the 4 on 3 either gally
  15. yep. i can't believe they couldn't wait for Robinson DURING THE OFFSEASON!!! i think that the moron MT was probably threatened having someone smarter than him working under him
  16. with a 4 on 4 why the hell not play Galchenyuk??????
  17. so markov caused a goal and a penalty. If that was Subban he would be sitting for the rest of the night
  18. nice screen by Gally! it's seems like a long time since he scored
  19. nice shot by subban but not enough time for traffic SUBBAN!!!
  20. nice to see Gionta draw a penalty, but why are Pleks and Galchenyuk being hampered by Gionta. There's been some pretty slick passing between Galchenyuk and Pleks and then flubs by Gionta He can't do that. Galchenyuk is too young and inexperienced to be a centre
  21. well, just remember that MT didn't think it would have been useful to have Larry Robinson, since JJ Daigneult has a much better resume Hey if he can have a double shift in OT against the pens, he is surely good enough to defend against Kessel
  22. No that was Subban's fault. He wasn't where Markov passed it and then didn't try hard enough to get back fast enough
