If i'm MT, i don't let Maxpac and DD of the ice. maybe the actually work up a sweat.

Part of the issue is that MT has made terrible decisions on how he has managed his personnel tonight. I haven't been happy with the free passes given to DD, Gionta, MaxPac, Ryder for the past couple of weeks. No reason why Pleks should be getting top PP time either. He has been great on the PK and even strength, but really has been weak on the PP. Halpern should have been in the lineup tonight - he was a key guy last game. I disagree about Price though, yes they only scored one goal. But he let in a weak goal before the wheels came off the bus.

can someone explain the instigation penalty to Subban???

Need to send Prust in after him and FORCE that SOB to fight. He always backs away from guys that are tougher then him and usually targets non-fighters. WTF. Ref now not letting Subban fight

This is that is pissing me off about MT. He keeps on giving a lot of time to ryder, Pleks, Gionta, DD, MaxPac. The only one of these that has played well consistently is Pleks and that is mainly even strength and the PK. Having Moen on the PP conjours up memories of my hatred for Martin.

Could it be because he is not a WHITE, er, i mean right player.

Subban has to get his head out of his ass. Has been getting suckered into stupid penalties and making dumb plays. MaxPac has been horrid. The captain has been useless. With all of the hitting by the Sens, Prust has let up on a few hits where he should have put the guy through the boards. MT did a great job in game 2, but really has made too many bad moves tonight. Guys like MaxPac, Ryder, Gionta, have to be held accountable. Refereeing has been lousy and this is somthing the coach has to speak up on the post-game. Really need to rally the boys in the intermission and get things back on track.

What i don't get is why MT keeps giving guys that are doing nothing ice time on the PP. MaxPac is a guy who needs to be sat 2-3 shifts and a PP opportunity. Given how players are performing, Gally squared should be starting each PP.

I think MT needs to speak out about the officiating during his end of game press conference. There were at least 4 headshots that weren't counted, one right at the start of the game, when Conacher cross-checked Subban in the head, to avoid getting hit.

I hope we don't have Maxpac on this PP. Need to play the guys playing well. It was ridiculous that Moen was on the last PP.

That 2008 ceremony was pretty sad. But I guess when you don't have any history or tradition to draw upon go make stupid and cheesy mistakes!

The Sens are not that inferior from us. We played a much better game 2 and also got better goaltending. We may have got a lot more shots in game 1, but a lot of them were lower quality shots. We also were not as physical as we needed to be. I think given our injuries in game 1 and how Price played, the Sens probably came in over-confident and I think MT did a masterful job preparing the team emotionally for the game. There isn't as much of of a difference between the two teams though. I would say we have the edge, but the difference isn't like when the Caps and Pens were clearly the stronger teams.

As does Prust - which everyone seems to ignore. Players like white and Prust are going to take penalties.

Based in the comments on TSN radio, I don't think Gionta will be back.

If you've seen him play in as many games as I have in Calgary, where he didn't hit, shoot, score, or backcheck, you'd understand my dislike for him. I hate the flames, so I was kinda happy he was a floater, but don't want a guy like that on my habs. Before he got injured and signed the long term deal I. Calgary, he was actually a guy I was hoping the Habs would try and get, but for the last two years in Calgary, he was pretty awful and took terrible penalties to boot.I think he may have realized he may play himself out of the league - although, you would have thought he would have woken up earlier given the half year's criticsm from Hrudy and getting skewered by the Calgary media.

heard on tsn that Gionta could have similar torn bicep as the one that kept him out last year.

Man this team has heart and keeps surprising me. I was all doom and gloom over losing Eller. Then when i Got home from the office, I heard Gionta and maxpac were mg one and I was sure we were done. Great clutch effort, redemption by Price and gotta love the kids!

My feelings exactly. I've been saying all year, you don't give away a guy like him. There would be 29 teams lining up for him.
