  1. Yeah simonus, I will guess that Vandermeer is not essential to the team in the new NHL, and that Perez is sent down because he can be and he seems to need more NA ice time, he can play on the first two lines with the Bulldogs unless the AHL wants to screw with him, and I have heard they might try to block him playing there. Latendresse will get another game or maybe two and may prove the wild card if he shines, but I guess that Higgins and Plekanic and Dags will stay. The other battle is on D -- Boullion/Hainsey/Streit.
  2. I agree with Leafs Suck. Anyway Higgens is big and Dags has started laying on the body, both of these players offer much more than Vandermeer. Perez goes to Hamilton, no waivers no problem and he needs more time in NA to work the smaller ice and so on. So, would you rather have Dags, a potential 25-30 goal scorer, or Higgins, a go-to guy, or Vandermeer? [Edited on 28-9-05 by JeanLucPilon]
  3. what the hell is that Dunn's commercial about? "the Dunnsiest?"
  4. Habs score!!! Zed from Plecanic and Boullion Now Hainsey and Boullion are on the scoresheet, Steit has to stay in the race, c'mon Mark!!!
  5. Habs scooorrrreeee!!! credited to Hainsey it was a sloppy goal by the sounds of it Lats assist gets the loudest cheer
  6. sounds like a fast paced game so far, hoping Lats can get going now the PP is over
  7. ok bebe, update -- anthems now, singer seems confident, good delivery with nice trills and some creative phrasing on the Canadian. Sounds like he's already in form for the season opener. I can't comment on the Zamboni as I'm listening on the radio.
  8. ditto! Lats puts the body on the Bruins and gets on the scoresheet today and it will make him hard to cut, he really is the wild card on the roster right now so this is a big game for the big kid.
  9. thx Komi, I was wondering about that and its good news he can get on stride with his linemates before the season opener.
  10. Ryder is not listed for the Bruins game Sept 27, so maybe he hurt the ankle a little worse than we'd thought, sprains can be tricky, does anyone have an update on his condition? Anyway there's no need to rush him back. Either he is fully recovered next week or he starts the season on the injured reserve -- silver lining in the second case is it gives us a chance to keep another youngster (or Dagenais) on the big team for some regular season starts and evaluation. 11. Looks good, I wil definitely be listening on cjad! Leafs and Bruins are my favorite rivals, I guess its pretty much the same for most Habs fans, right? [Edited on 27-9-05 by JeanLucPilon]
  12. Yup although it seems some teams will be carrying fewer this season, like 21. My guess however is we'll have 23 for the first part of the season. Remember also that Dandenault can play on the wing in a pinch, does anyone know if Julien has experimented with this during camp? I know we are deeper up front and thin on defence, but this has to be something Julien should look at when he plans for contingencies such as injuries -- we could keep eight defencemen for awhile until the Streit/Hainsey/Benoit decision is made. Second set of cuts should be announced in a few hours and we'll know more then. :ghg:
