As soon as it said I was wrong I knew my mistake. I just saw Finland and immediately thought of Saku. I knew Foppa was Forsberg, and I guessed correctly that Ruca was Rucinsky. I took the mistaken guess that Forsberg joined the team the year of the move.

The visor comment was for hockey fighting in general, not this event. It would have been impossible to have such an even with visors.

They called fights when the helmets came off? I've always felt that players should have to remove their helmets when they fight. Many tough guys have broken their hands by pounching a helmet. Especially these days, when many players wear visors. How are you supposed to hit a guy who's entire body is protected? [Edited on 8-28-05 by Fanpuck33]

Olivier Michaud played in the ECHL this season, and couldn't even secure a starting job there. Doesn't appear that he will amount to much. As for Tarasov, he hasn't been Montreal property for a couple years.

Don't worry about it, we just like to have verifiable rumors before discussing them. Otherwise people start making up really crazy rumors just to stir the pot. I'm not accusing you of this, but it's happened in the past. Welcome to HW though, you'll love it here.

Ok, I am sick of all the threads that are being started because of rumors started by this Ecklund guy. 90% of his rumors are ridiculous, and have little credibitility. From now on, all disussion on Ecklund rumors will be put into this thread. If an admin finds another thread started because of an Ecklund rumor, it will be merged into this thread. Thank you.

Placing a threat on the life of your country's president is treason and a threat to national security. Saying something about another country's leader is neither of those things. I see them as very different issues. And no, killing somebody is not always wrong. Now, murder is another story. There are plenty of instances of killing which are not murder. For example, I do not think that killing a threat the national security is murder. Whether or not Chavez is a threat is something for the government to decide. Robertson doesn't have any say on whether we go after him. His opinion is rather meaningless I think. I seriously doubt you'll see members of the 700 Club going down there to take out Chavez just because Robertson thinks it's the right thing to do. And as for the Rather story, why would Bush have to deny the story when everyone found out it was all a farce and Rather had to admit it himself? Why take the time to deny a story that everyone already new was fake?

I think the Luongo money affects Theo much more. Khabi is a much more experienced veteran and a Cup winner. Luongo and Theo are much more comparable. In fact, Luongo is probably the better goalie, so at least in my opinion, Theo's demands will have to take a hit.

I agree completely. I hate that the NHL is going to shootouts. Penalty shots are special because they are so rare. Now they will happen routinely.

I don't care how bad of a day he was having. The way he swung that stick, he could have killed somebody. I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing, but that doesn't make it right. I realize how instant the decision was, but that also doesn't make it right. As I've said before, I agree that his suspension was unfair, given both the fact that Stafford got like 10 games and that Bertuzzi got 23 games for a pre-meditated act.
