  1. After calling the store to see if they had it last week, I found out it doesn't come out in the US until tomorrow. No wonder nobody had played it yet.
  2. My point exactly, Vandermeer used to be somewhat of a scorer, so he must have some hockey skill besides throwing punches. Never in his career has Ivanans scored more than 4 goals in a season. He's always been a straight enforcer. Vandermeer obvisously is not as big as Ivanans, but he's a better hockey player. And as for stupid penalties, Ivanans had just as many. I recall him taking a slashing penalty (always a stupid penalty) and also a cross-checking penalty, on the PP no less.
  3. DAMN IT! Why did they keep Ivanans over Vandermeer? He once scored 19 goals in an AHL season, so he has at least a little bit of hockey skill. Ivanans has little, if any, hockey sense.
  4. HAHAHAHA! The php reads part of the link as a smily!
  5. If the kid can play, then he must stay. Fo' shizzle. [Edited on 10-1-05 by Fanpuck33]
  6. I would say Zednik, Ryder, and Kovalev. They are the purest goal scorers on the team. Dagenais has a good shot, but I don't know how well he'd do in a shootout.

I will admit that I messed up. When I read your post, I didn't see that you switched back talking about Theodore, so I thought that you called Danis "not big or strong" as one of his flaws. Because of this, I didn't think that deleting the filler material in between made a difference to what was being said. I took what you said out of context, and didn't even realize it. With that said, you could have explained to me what your gripe was instead of acting like a child. It's not a good idea "faux-cuss" and talk to admins like that. You're no saint beckham, and you're on thin ice. You are lucky that you haven't been banned for your multiple racist comments. [Edited on 9-29-05 by Fanpuck33]
  8. He's a big, strong guy that people don't often mess with. He can certainly hold his own in a fight. Also, he is a pretty decent skater, as he won the fastest skater competition in the Bulldogs Skills Competition.

lol, that is perhaps your most ridiculous comment ever, beckham. Where do you see that I edited your post? If I edit a person's post, it leaves a little note saying who edited and when it was edited. Whatever you are smoking, it's making you see things that aren't there.

    Fifa 06

Has anyone played it yet? I'm thinking about buying it, but I'm not a huge enough soccer fan to slap down 50 bucks for a soccer game that sucks. NHL and NCAA Football are the only games I'll buy regardless of what I hear about them. Thanks

So, being big a strong makes a goalie good? :?- That's funny, I always thought vision, agility, quickness, and shot stopping made a good goalie. I wasn't aware that being strong helped you stop pucks. [Edited on 9-29-05 by Fanpuck33]
  12. I don't want Peter Worrell anywhere near this team. The guy has had multiple DUIs, we don't need an alcoholic on the team. One DUI, is bad enough, though many people get one. But getting more than one and having your liscence revoked is a sign of a problem. If these were maybe 5 years ago and he was over the problem, then maybe give him a chance. However, his most recent one was just last year.
  13. I think the SI thing was based on conference.
  14. Nashville should contend for the playoffs, but I don't see them being a huge threat.
  15. My line combination has probably been listed before, but here is my guess: Zednik-Koivu-Kovalev Hossa-Ribeiro-Ryder Bulis-Bonk-Higgins Plekanec-Begin-Sundstrom Markov-Rivet Souray-Komisarek Bouillon-Dandenault Theo Danis Press-box: Dagenais, Vandermeer, Hainsey Latendresse still has a shot at the 2nd line spot, but that's still a long shot. Hossa, I think, will be given his last shot to shine, much like Ribeiro was given his last chance last season. It's time to sink or swim. Plekanec and Higgins have to make this team based on their excellent 2-way ability. Hainsey isn't going to get any better, so sending him to the AHL would be pointless I think. Streit can benefit more from some AHL time. He spent only one season in North America, so playing time in the AHL can help him get reaquainted with North American hockey. Perezhogin also needs some more AHL time I think. He hasn't shown the offensive punch that is expected of him.
  16. As far as I can tell, he has not been cut yet, so he must be in a good competition with Vandermeer for the role. Personally, I'm pulling for Vandermeer to become the 5th (at least) Columbus Chill player to make it to the NHL. It's been a while since the Chill even existed, but I loved them. Since when can teams dress 13 forwards? Is there a new rule I missed?
  17. New NHL, old NHL, I don't care. You need a guy who can drop the gloves. With as little depth as the Habs have on D, they can't afford to have guys like Souray being the tough guy. It's not a good thing when your 3 most likely tough guys are D-man (Rivet, Souray, and Komi). It's simply not smart to have those guys in the box or getting the crap kicked out of them. You need a guy who can go up against the Oliwas and the Shelleys of the league. He doesn't have to play every night, but you have to have an enforcer at times. You don't want your teams important players to be the ones standing up for teammates.
  18. Not going to happen. It's either Ivanans or Vandermeer, not both. Julien is keeping them both around to challenge each other and make them try harder.

  20. Skoula is a D-man. Jaroslav Svoboda is the only current Czech forward on the Stars.
  21. It's the preseason, dude, give him a break. I'm sure guys have practiced penalty shots a million times. It's preseason and it doesn't matter. Why not try to entertain the fans a little? On Sunday night Nik Zherdev of the Blue Jackets pulled a skill stick move straight out of NHL 06 and shot the puck from between his legs. Khabibulin made a good save, but it was really run to watch, since it didn't matter.
  22. This blows. Listening to the game SUCKS for me. My high speed connection is terrible, as the streaming audio constantly skips.

  24. Didn't this kid shutout Montreal in like his 1st NHL start?
