Can’t argue, he made some great saves and he isn’t the reason bruins lost. Toronto was the better team unfortunately. -

2-2 😱 End of second. Ullmark makes me nervous. He has made some good saves but he is flopping and giving rebounds. -

I don’t like Ullmark in net. He was terrible last year against Florida. I get that Boston rotated goalies all season but this is the playoffs man. Swayman played great last game. -
He will be Bergevin’s first call as GM of the new Nordiques.

Top 5 for best line in the NHL is pretty freaking great. Also impressive that Dallas has two lines there. -

I hope the Avalanche play this kid and take the Jets out. ROSTER UPDATE: We have recalled goaltender Ivan Prosvetov from the Colorado Eagles. In addition, goaltender Arvid Holm has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles -
I had to double check the source because I thought this is impossible but there it is. Didn't see that coming

He has already bathed in that cup and I blame Vancouver for letting that injustice happen. We can’t have that majestic trophy be further soiled by leaf stink. -

If we were in the 1990’s I might agree with you but for right now, screw the leafs and their entire organization. -

You do have to wonder what would have happened last night if Jake Allen was traded to Colorado instead? Really exciting game to watch and first round of playoff hockey is always outstanding. -

The Jets, Avs game is hard and fast hockey - it’s glorious Jets can’t handle the transition speed of Colorado so far. Fun game -

Sorry friend I left you the wrong impression from my original post. I wasn’t advocating for Nylander it was just that he is injured and returning at some point. Mathews is clearly a scorer but he isn’t a scorer like MaxPac nope he is an elite scorer, generational talent. My original point is about playing an elite scorer like Mathews with two low skill guys. Guys that crash and work the net and boards but aren’t passers. I just don’t think it’s wise but I could be wrong. -

I get the thinking behind it but you gotta play talent with talent. Imagine playing Gallagher and Armia with Suzuki instead of Slafkovsky and Caufield? -

The leaf board over at HF is complete chaos 🎉🥳🎉 I hope for a sweep 🧹 I also hope that the leafs start the game with Reeves again and the Bruins score on their first shot again. I hope the leafs give 20+ minutes to their fourth line Keefe is a terrible coach -

It’s amazing to watch the leafs lose in the playoffs. I think it’s a mistake to play one of the highest skilled players in the NHL, Mathews with two lunch pail type players. I get spreading your talent around so it’s tougher to shut everyone down but you’re wasting generational talent IMO. Maybe Nylander takes a spot there. -

I think Vegas is going to beat Dallas. Not sure that’s even an upset. Vegas is getting players back who magically are cleared to play once the playoffs start - shades of Tampa -
Playoffs starting tonight…difficult to choose between Toronto and Boston because I want them both to lose. Still a leaf loss in the first round would be sweet. This pic is fan votes about series winners:

Sure I mean we are talking about bottom pairing Dmen here. I just think both fans and some media don’t appreciate how good these guys actually are - for bottom pairing guys -

My guess is that at least one of those Dmen won’t be on the roster next season. I frankly love the amount of competition for a roster spot now. I do expect some players to be in Laval that are ready for NHL while they sort the roster out - Hutson could surely play NHL next year, even if he has stuff to work on but there isn’t a spot for him. I bet Savard is traded at the next deadline and then Reinbacker takes his spot to finish out the season.
