We should not kiss ass! Trade Markov if his demand is too high or too long. trade Hamrlik and Mara and free up some cap room in order to acquire a significant defenceman this summer or via trade. We should also trade Price or package him because I'll be damned if he still wants to play here under the current conditions. Now if we do all this we will have freed up over12,000,000 dollars of cap space and do some shoppiong this summer.

The whole issue with the habs is that they arel a new team and they really haven't found their chemistry yet due to many injuries. However this being said they will definitely need to sign Plekanec now and other free agents which is the real task. My whole outlook with this team is simple we really need to establish a #1 goalie and get a captain in order to get this team looking like a team rather than a bunch of free agents that are here for the big contracts. My captain would be GIONTA. :hlogo:

I always said it that the cap system really sucks and needs to have a major restructuring. Because of the cap system we can no longer dump salary or acquire salary or move players for other players. The salary cap should be moved to $65.000.000 so there can be more movement. Players can no longer sign a do not trade contract because this gives too much power to the players rather than the game and it's fans. Now we have the players looking after their own interests and the NHL are looking after their so in other words they've all become lawyers and who suffers for it.WE DO!

What it boils down to is which center do you prefer as our third line center? The current choices are Maxwell,Trotter,lapierre,Metropolite or Moore. My obvious and personal choice is Moore therefore I don't think that this trade will turn around and bite me. My hockey sense keeps telling me that Plekanec will be traded before the trade deadline.

SK74 is progressing exremely well playing with our top line that it makes it almost a crime to keep demoting this kid back to the 3rd or 4th lines. Maybe if we can trade for a good third line player then SK 74 can find a permanent role and help this team with 3 solid and capable lines.

Pierre Gauthier's comment that Plekanec wants to stay here with montreal is a complete farce. Be certain that Plek's contract demand is over 5 million per year with a long term contract. The fact that he is playing well this year is to achieve his gaol and get the money and contract he desires otherwise he would be a bust like his previous year with our club. I also believe that Price could be moved rather that Halak depending on the offers available.

Every dog has it's day! The question that I always ask is " What took so long." The truth is that in this new NHL where honor no longer exists we need to adapt and adapt quickly.I'm proud that Gainey was a GM with our organization the fact is that he was to honest and clean in order to deal with these ruthless GM'S of the new NHL. Our new GM needs to have the nose and instinct of a shark and show no mercy when it comes to making decisions. Thank you Mr. Bob Gainey and we the fans salut you!

To be honest I didn't even feel the need to watch this game. For me it's crystal clear that this is a poor team and that Bob Gainey really goofed up by putting this team together during the off season. This team is inconsistant,childish,lazy,small,careless and much more I care not to write about. I beg the Molson family to rectify this situation quickly and speedily and hire someone sufficient to put together the right chatacter of players who will jell and compete in this new NHL. We the fans have had enough of this garbage!

I don't worry when I hear of fighting or rumors of fights rather I will worry when there is no fighting in regards with our teams lack of focus and will to compete.

Being familiar with who Bob Gainey is for the past 6-7 years of his term as G-M, I would think that he is going to stick with trading Halak rather than Carey Price. Therefore what I would like to see in return for Halak would be Neal or Benn from Dallas. These two player have skill and lot's of upsize and are able to jump in immediately to help our team. My hockey sense tells me that Thomas Plekanec is done with the Habs and therefore I hope that Bob Gainey can package him for a steady and reliable defenceman.
