  1. The cross checks were one thing. The slash is another all together. Maybe the refs could have blown the whistle sooner but Lecavalier is ultimately responsible for being and idiot. edit: missed Subban slash Lecavalier first. Hope to see Subban back in the second.
  2. I think the prediction for Patches return would be for the second round. He'll get to exchange hockey plays with Chara next year.
  3. From March 11th: Seems as though you may have gotten half of your post right, let's hope the rest happens. Dare to dream bud...dare to dream
  4. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=358396 Marchand ended up getting a two game suspension for the hit on Umburger. Though he did have this to say: "I did get him in the head," he said. "That wasn't my intention. I was just trying to make contact. That stuff happens in hockey. It's a rough sport.
  5. Apologies, I missed that they have 2 games in hand over Carolina and Toronto, and they are on a good run.
  6. I wouldn't put it past any of them...Chara included. Just seems to be the way some of the Bruins naturally play. I don't think we'll see another hit on par with what happened to Patches, probably just more of the same we've seen from them all season.
  7. At this point I guess we have to take what we can get. Here's hoping for another 2 points tonight.
  8. Great news for the Habs and Max's family! That's the second time we've seen that kid get hauled away on a stretcher and come back this season. Between Wiz taking that puck to the face and this, I'm pretty impressed with the resiliency of the Canadiens.
  9. Looks like Patches could be back for the second round of the playoffs.
  10. The Devils making it to the playoffs is a big ' if ' though. They're 2 points back from Toronto and 6 back from Buffalo who currently have 8th place. Agreed that New Jersey is on a good run but jumping 3 spots in 2.5 weeks will be a miracle with the teams they're up against. Someone else might have to step up and slay the giant this time.
  11. Agreed. It's either a hit from in front, side on or behind. A hit " a little bit from behind " is like rear ending someone in your car but claiming nothing bad happened because you only hit them a little bit. When you listen to the clip I think it's pretty easy to tell he knows he's grasping at straws.
  12. I would say you are absolutely right. It'll make it all the more unbelievable when Boston does do something dirty and they turn a blind eye from the pressbox.
  13. Maybe the hockey gods will look down and realize the playoffs are around the corner and we've filled our injury quota for the season. While their at it, maybe they'll also come to the conclusion the Bruins could use a few more. If you could make Marchand or Chara's right foot just fall off that would be great. Thanks in advance, BrenDittero
  14. If the Bruins have been keeping tabs on it, I think the fallout from the Chara hit ( protests, threats of pulling sponsorship, news articles, comments from around the league ) will really have Boston and their fans looking for a fight on the 24th. "Those sissy Canadiens / fans need to be taught a lesson right? How dare they stand up against a questionable play. Pacioretty's fine, he's walkin' around and everything " If Montreal can get up by a goal or two at any point in the game It'll probably get pretty dirty on Bostons part. Actually, even if Boston is up I assume we'll see some 'hockey plays'
  15. I'm ok with Marchand shooting off his mouth. It makes him look like a whiner and it's not actually hurting anyone. The Bruins, as a whole, play dirty and act like 26 year old children when they don't get their way or have a hard time winning. See you in the first round Marchand, have fun playing golf the first week of May.
  16. Man, that stuff is tough to watch. I'm sure many players are involved in stupid moves like this but it's especially anger inducing because it's Boston.
  17. Repost your Chara hit comment all you like. Defiantly one of the most concise and insightful of the week.
  18. After all the line shuffling that's gone on recently it's great to see things working out.
