Collberg with 3 assists today, great to see. And the little Fin scores again.
-
I think Oilers arnt done, with another loss to fellow cellar dweller in Philly today. Cant believe I am pulling for Bruins in any game, but easily dislike Leafs more.
-
Would Dumont be any value in a trade package? Or simply will replace Parros on 4th line I assume (Parros should be a healthy scratch more often than not)?
-
Just wishful thinking for Gregoire and was just comment on Thrower setback. Will young d-men like maybe Ekblad, Bowey, Heatherington or Morin be invited to camp try out? Or none really would be upgrade on any older guys you already slotted and will need to wait another year for realistic shot.
-
Yes, I would dump puck in to his corner every time also; but if you recall another fan favorite, excessively tall d-man, handled every puck like was a live grenade also and he was a good guy to have on team (and I hope he comes back to town as a d-coach down the road).

Collberg and Bozon are 2 that am a touch "worried" about not progressing as hoped yet? Thrower was in that category, but he is showing pre-draft form (well till last game anyways). Vail, am on the fence whether will likely be good pro? I had very low expectations for the 2 goons, McCarron and Crisp, so former is as I expected (but very early yet) and latter much better.

I am not a Bourque fan one bit and think overrated player. He simply was on shitty teams with him as the only offense and he had all prime minutes and offense had to go through him, so he got highly inflated production and many had that in the 80s-90s. You don't need to argue, I know 99.9% of fans love him, just my goofy opinion and he helped Habs win many a game over Bruins with his weak defense, so he wasn't all bad.
-
Don't forget Murray seems like a frickin saviour or the missing link to Habs penalty kill, which is now 3rd in league and Habs are batting .1000 since he suited up! I know it could just be an anomaly; but, he likely cant be any slower next season and is a cheap behemoth with playoff experience (he also could mentor de la Rose-Collberg if they make the move next year?). Gorges is like a "Rudy Ruettiger", going undrafted and the kind of teammate I think all respect, I am in no hurry to trade him. But if Bergevin is as frustrated as he looked last game, who knows what he may do if lose next game or 2?
-
Someone said Thomas has been skating, which has to a positive sign anyways and he cant be too far away from suiting up? But Ryan White I think had similar hernia injury and he was out a long time, if I remember correctly?
-
How strong/deep is forward group for World Junior team Ben? Would Gregoire have any hope of making roster, if he has a good showing in subway series and Q for next month? I keep comparing him to Pourier and both are even @ 19games-29points and 5th in Q scoring. I assume Reway is a lock for Czech and the 3 Scandinavian kids also. Fucale/Hudon are likely to go, but not sure thing eh? Vail not fading yet and doing well, still very unlikely to make USA team I assume? Thrower may have his 2nd concussion, which is just too bad with way he has been playing.

I think Colorado retired Ray Bourques number didn't they?
-
An Avtsin fan eh.
-
2 of first 3 goals bad Mayer. The little swiss kid scored at the end at least. 2 minutes of total collapse ruined this game. Funny that commentaters said Hab call ups haven't really come back to the 'A" and shone? I assume he is hinting Tinordi, Holland etc maybe had bit swelled heads, or something along that line and arnt giving "110%"?
-
Goalies seem like such a odd bunch to predict how they may develop?
-
Being captain is different, I think. He is very good defensively, with a very limited skillset and he will pay the price to block every shot he can, dosent whine and if you see the 24CH shows, he is the cheerleader of the bunch, it seems anyways. But he unlikely will ever be an all-star, as the other players most have ranked "could be" I suppose?.
-
He numbers are down this year, what kind of defense does he have in front of him?
-
Not good when goalies take a nap during a game I guess?
-
Sounds like Nygren and Beaulieu are a really good offensive duo eh. And Tinordi is playing with Pateryn, should be a solid pairing also.
-
I assumed it as present circumstances, but if you are looking down the road, Galchenyuk may be a smart choice to stick with (but Markov will be retired then also)?
-
Got no issue extending Diaz, although many here seem to not be fond of, but if they can, I would hope Markov isn't done till late in season. Just to see how he holds up with 25+ minutes/night. And I would trade anyone, as long as package makes sense coming back. Like sens deal for Ryan seems a fair one.
-
And Habs are 8th of east teams if makes you feel better. And are just a couple games left in season to play. But, if you feel like panicking, can always trade draft picks and prospects like Beaulieu, Bournival and Tinordi to get back a top 6 scorer. Just i wouldnt go that route at this stage.
-
If Price or Subban went down, Habs would duke it out for Reinhart-Ekblad next spring at draft.
-
Subban, Price, Yemelin, Plekanec, Eller
-
Habs are 17th in league goals per game, so not great but nothing to really freak out over. Give Pacioretty some time and DD really hasn't helped and if Leblanc continues hot streak in Hamilton, he would be an improvement (even I would be an upgrade over DD) and Bergevin will just have to swallow his pride and admit err, waive and ship him down sooner or later or simply have Briere replace him when ready (not sure if that is an upgrade?)?

May be 4 losses in a row, but 2 or 3 were entertaining and good effort games. #74 & #8 should be a nice boost to team in next week or two.
