Don't even think Subban was captain in junior and if teammates/coaching staff first gave him an A for a year, same as #14, they possibly considered. Gorges is my only choice (unless Markov suddenly warms up to stupid inane media questions), after Gionta retires in another 2 years. But Gallagher in a few years or Plekanec anytime is fine by me.

Sorry Brian, poor wording, "If I had to choose which to resign, if both needed resigning..." And as you say LL will likely be resigned, or flipped for similar busting 1st rounder of another organization.
-
Both he and Dumont are 23 and almost equal offensive rate, so if I had to resign either, Dumont is easy choice, as he actually wins puck battles and not afraid to step up for teammates. Oh well, Timmins-Gainey made local fans happy in 2009, but cant hit on all picks.

With Duchene-MacKinnon-OReily-Landeskog-Stastny, the Aves are strong up front, but are weak on backend, which is a 'fun' mix and doubt this game will be boring. Duchene-MacKinnon can simply fly and can be worth price of admission some nights. I thought Aves would fade, but goaltending has been good.

Sitting @ 94.7%, could make playoffs even with Mayer in net. Fun 4 game stretch upcoming.
-
Crisp with 1a and a PP GWG in 2-1 win, nice finish for him as well.
-
Well, 3-1 now, can chalk up another L I think

didn't miss much I guess and frickin tough year for Holland, Thomas, Dietz and maybe few others. Nice back-end 3rd quarter breakdown Brian, cant disagree with any grades.
-
I also have suggested that maybe as a winger he would do well. But, the way he skates, his OK vision and puck skills, he would be more valuable as an offensive puck-mover than a winger. And they always say, defense can be taught/learned and he is a quite young d-man and by time he is 24 or so, he could be a super player (but always likely be not quite as focused in own zone).

Hudon finishs with Hat-Trick, 1 goal assisted by Gregoire and both had good years. See if Gregoire can light up playoffs again this year. Nevins finishes with 19th goal and a scrap. Crisp gets 27th and last game today. Reway & Vail sat; but both had 4 points in last 2 games.

Shit PP% must be nearing some kind of record (unlikely but must be gall darn low).

Really, I never heard that, I assumed a strain, that sucks.

As to the Habs, f-in right I got rose-coloured glasses, they are my favorite sports team, have been since was a lil kid and will always cheer, wave pom-poms if you like and if that bothers you, what can I say? Would I hire me as a GM/Coach, not a chance; because I am a fan and know little of what actually goes on off the ice and why lineups-rosters-icetime is what it is. Do I try and be or see the positive, always, but not 'over the top nor blindly ignorant' nor am I fickle and wouldn't ever boo the Habs, even in a 15-0 blowout. I would of traded DD and still would Bourque for standard 'bag of pucks', maybe coaching in Hamilton; but other than that I have very few issues with Mgmt-Coachs-Team and really just cant fathom why you are so consistently negative, win or lose, which is fine but if I argue the opposite it is simply because I disagree, not that I know more/less, just a different opinion/point of view.

Thrower's team is likely to meet Portland in playoffs, so his team will be toast relatively quickly.
-
See how Gionta does in next 25-35games, but I would assume he will be back and is fine by me.
-
Vail gets 2a in a 3-2 loss. 18th in OHL scoring.
-
Thanks for update Ben. A bit of better sounding news at least.

So you dont like Prust nor Murray? Nor DD signing? Galchenyuk, de la Rose, Thrower, Fucale etc drafting by MB? Outstanding Win Loss record since he took over? Me thinks your endorsement is lacking a bit of credibility. What next, you think should toss in the towel, fire MB-Therian and try tanking i suppose?
-
He kicked ass on faceoffs, scored only goal and was even +/- in game!!! He is +2 for season while Alex is -11 and is only 20 years old with a lot to learn. Well put sir.
-
Boullion's play had little to do with outcome of game. When Galchenyuk is defensively responsible. Dont know what unbalanced lines would do or why balanced (if that is what you call it) lines is bad? I like Gionta and Plekanec together, but may not be best line for Vanek (and he did get a point on another line, but a good player would produce even with Darche-Gomez as linemates). But, Murray outshooting Plekanec and Gionta combined not good. Overall not a bad game by Habs and 1 stat was difference .972% vs .875%. After 1st period I thought; '1st home game after road trip' jinx maybe not gonna come in to play, but Budaj helped it along.
-
They were nil to begin with as his wife wants to be in Minni, so may be for best anyways. He is just a rental and I hope he helps get Habs to 2nd or 3rd round.
-
I think Plekanec would need to at least be voted 'A' first and he aint got that yet, so why would he be a non-leader to being voted captain, he game hasn't changed in 10 years (cept fewer lazy penalties these past few years)?
-
Because Beaulieu hasn't played much yet and is very soft. So how would he do with 16-20minutes, no one knows? May get really exposed and is a risky call, Boullion is pretty safe with puck and gritty player. Would I rather see whether Beaulieu can sink or swim with more asked from him, maybe? But he would likely have that 'Budaj-like' brain cramp, that may cost game?
-
Ehlers will likely also be in junior 1 more year eh? He is fairly slight I think.
