  1. some disappointment among the Laval Rocket veterans, feeling that some of the veterans that didn;t play may have done better than a few of the 10 rookies that played tonight. my translation:" one could throw rocks (criticize) all we want to JF Houle and his assistants, but most of the decisions with regards to personnel wasn't theirs. I (Marcotte) never felt the players had stopped playing for JF Houle this year. He remains a coach appreciated by his players"
  2. I hope they do not do that. It would be a mistake by J-F Houle if he manages his bench like a house league team
  3. why? It's not an exhibition game. Many AHLers on the Rocket team are playing for contracts. If the Habs pushes to play the kids more than deserving Rocket veterans, I will be disappointed for them Stephens, Maillet, Andersson, Cederqvist, Durandeau
  4. I am sad for the kids, they deserved to continue playing. I have posted it a few times over the season, I feel the Habs organization should have helped Laval better to allow them to compete in the playoffs.
  5. Rocket eliminated, Senators sore the empty net goal
  6. 1:16 to go, faceoffs in the Senators zone. Time out called If the Rocket does not score in regulation time, they will be eliminated
  7. Roclet was hemmed in for almost 2 minutes, finally, Mailloux iced the puck to get a respite 3min to go
  8. they score, the PK looked passive on that one. But they have been playing well all game. Rocket needs to win in regulation time
  9. Stephens gets called for sending the puck over glass with his glove, with 6:17 to play. Faceoffs are going to be a factor here.
  10. 7:42 to play in the third. Laval leading by one. They are managing the clock well
  11. Syracuse is leading Utica 4-3 at the end of 2. Utica could be eliminated today
  12. I thought it was a penalty by Barron earlier, it was Condotta. But Barron was the one messing up leading to that penalty
  13. thank goodness for Dobes on the 2nd half of that period. 2-i good guys
  14. faceoffs are an issue on the PK. Laval hanging on
  15. Another penalty by Trudeau with one minute to go in the 2nd
  16. a bit less than 3 min left in the 2nd. Laval still leading. The Laval french play-by-play keeps praising Tuch's game, sahys he is playing like if he had been with the Rocket all season. It is true he does not look out of of place. He uses his size very well and is quick on his skates. Mailloux tends to control the game when he has the puck, very confident on the ice. Reinbacher is having a strong game too. I am impressed with how well the team is playing. They do not have any elite scorers, but they do have solid prospects with a future in the NHL
  17. PK kept it 2-1. Then shortly after, Betts slid into Dobes. Physical play is starting to pick up
  18. so far with 7:48 to go in the 2nd, the faceoffs have not been an issue. But Barron just made two errors on a clearing shot by the Sens: he was beaten to the pick and then took a tripping penalty. Let's see what happens
  19. Bongiovani gets one goal back, on a broken play by Laval when entering the offensive zone. The Sen's player was hiding behind the D waiting for the pass 2-1
  20. a "big men"'s goal by Anderson, with Tuch and Cederqvist creating havoc in the o-zone. 2-0 Laval
  21. a bad goal by Sogaard gave the Rocket a one goal lead, the revamped defense helped them survive a series of penalties. Game is not too physical, but the Rocket has definitely a bigger team than usual with young Xhekaj and Tuch in the lineup. Dobes has been good when needed. The Rocket is loosing most faceoffs, let's see if in the 2nd that makes a differnece, with the benches further away for changes
