Guys, Rogers owns the majority share of the Leafs Rogers Sportsnet broadcasts the games. Is there Bias? OF COURSE Is anything going to stop it? Not as long as they both have the same owner.

2025-26 projected lineup discussion

Of those, they play down the stretch in the NHL is most important to me, and I do think he could be the 3c -
Matthews could be a second liner. Maybe Suzuki could show him how to play with balls.
-
Sure but i was just looking at the core 4.
-
Id take Matthews, Nylander, or Tavares . Depending on cost of course. No interest whatsoever in Marner
-
No Interest in Marner. NONE
-
5-1
-
I want zero part of Mitch Marner in free agency. SOFTER THAN BABY SHIT. Why put your equipment on if you aren't willing to take a hit to make a play in Game 7? You're just wasting everyone's time.

3 years 6 million would be a bargain to me and have me dancing in the streets. I think contract values will surprise people this summer.
-
I think thats possible, but i also think you should be ready to.start tampering as soon as they are eliminated
-
I mean seeing Alfie and Modano in wings jersies was weird or Brodeur playing for the Blues. But that wouldnt be the case. Hed never even put on a jersey.
-
I dont think its a big deal. Datsyuk is still seen as playing his entire career with the Red Wings despite his final year on contract being as an Arizona Coyote.
-
Newhook showed me hes an NHL centre. Not a top 6 but an NHLer.
-
I agree with the idea in principle, yes, when you are ready to win, pay a little in picks to get additional cap value. My response was more saying I think the trade itself was an overpay and I'm not sure what the Isles are thinking in terms of their roster composition strategy and timeline.
-
The replacement for Dvorak is the 2c. Reason being it pushes one of Dach/Newhook to wing and one to the third line. If Beck and Kapanen can't push Newhook to wing, then they aren't ready for NHL yet. But Newhook is perfectly fine as a 3C. So getting a 2C pushes the old 2C into that better fitting 3C role.

Yes, which is why my suggestion is to have many options and then order them, rather than to dismiss a trade as I'd rather sign ________
-
I think both trades are too much. That said I dont know what the possibility of retention is and how much New York is looking at a rebuild until we know who their GM is.
-
Demidov is 19 years old and played all of 7 games .... .he's still a prospect. He's eligible for the Calder Trophy next year, he has to be considered a prospect.
-
PLD was traded. He wasnt a free agent.
-
If Granlund wants to sign in Montreal. We should have a number of targets, and then order them by preference. Cause whether its a FA or a trade, we have to have two people agree on any deal.
-
No free agents i want. Would they trade William Karlsson (2 years left at 5.9 milll AAV), 10 team NTC. I don't think they will move him, but that's a piece that fits the #2C hole.

I wonder how much of that xG is score effects. Just looking at the chart, when the panthers scored their sixth goal and took a 6-0 lead, the XG was virtually tied, (Panthers 2.56 xG - Leafs 2.60 xG). the game finished (3.1 - 2.64) So the leafs had a better xG of 0.5 - 0.08 in the time after the game was already 6-0 and way out of reach. They also did better than the panthers between the time the game was 3-0 and 5-0. The score would be closer if the goaltending was even, but I'm not sure the Leafs were better, a lot of it is just score effects. (we know when a team trails by 3 or more goals, after that point in the game they are likely to get more xG as they take chances and the other team plays defensive).
