  1. Campoli and Weber so bad on that last goal
  2. Agreed, his vision is something no knee injury can take away.
  3. Bob McKenzie ‏ @TSNBobMcKenzie Draft prospects Nail Yakupov (concussion/shoulder) and Alex Galchenyuk (bicep) are healthy and will be in Sarnia playoff lineup Fri nite.
  4. There is over $5mil he's qualified in bonus money this year based on what he did last year. The Jets didnt realize they'd be on the hook for it until they saw his contract and now the deal is in jeopardy.
  5. The Sabres are the one team in our division who I really haven't built up a big hate for. I don't like them, but I don't hate them like the Bruins #1 Leafs #2 and even the Senators #3. I hate Patrick Kaleta though, he's one of my top 5 most hated guys in the league. That guy is a douche.
  6. Bills sign Mark Anderson (10 sacks for Patriots last year). Adding him and Mario Williams to bookend Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus makes for a very scary defensive line.
  7. Good Analysis. I agree with this. An offseason of putting on some upper body muscle would be great for Palushaj.
  8. Yes or be an Overager in the QMJHL. However its more likely he is AHL bound as 1st round picks as overagers is rare. If he was born just one month later in Jan 2013 he'd be headed for the Q for sure
  9. Isles win, Oilers win. Good night for tanking
  10. I still have hope Schultz will reach NHL level, but he's not close yet.
  11. A draft article i wrote http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/03/19/nhl-draft-2012-the-year-of-the-injury/
  12. Room for 3 lines of wings getting quality time. I think a vet who can score in Hamilton will help them win which will also be important. Yes they are getting a ton of talent but rookies dont usually rip up the AHL in their first year so another vet who can score a PPG doesnt hurt that team. Winning hockey is a good experience for the kids too.
  13. Beaulieu nominated for QMJHL d-man of the year. Ellis nominated for QMJHL defensive dman of the year. Bournival nominated for QMJHL scholastic athlete of the year (good grades + good play).
  14. http://www.habsworld.net/out.php?14584 Best drafting team of the last decade goes to - Montreal and Trevor Timmins. They better keep him around. "MONTREAL Sorry, can't explain this but the numbers don't lie. The Habs have the highest rating in the study. In 2003, they took six players who made the NHL. In 2005, they selected four more NHLers. In 2007, four more including Max Pacioretty and P.K. Subban. The high-end talent hasn't been there but the Habs have consistently found players. Average: .338. Slugging; .613. Grade; A-minus."
  15. How much have you watched of Ian Schultz... in two years he's been a quality AHL player for about 2, maybe 3 months of that time, the rest of it he's been barely passable. Meanwhile Palushaj is a PPG player in the AHL. Schultz is not even close to NHL ready and you want him on the roster ahead of Palushaj? Why? To do what? To be embarrassed out there as his hockey sense, and ability to read and react to plays is barely AHL caliber.
  16. He's been anointed the Franchise Goalie here, every move this team has made for 5 years now (sending Halak away from the bulldogs so Price could start in 2007, trading Huet in 2008, trading halak in 2010, changing goalie coaches) all of this has been done with the goal of making Carey the face of the franchise. He knows it and management knows it. He's going nowhere.
  17. Make him his qualifying offer (2 way deal), keep him around for training camp and see how he does. If he's not gonna make the team out of camp, you take your chances on the waiver wire (as he'll lose his exemption this summer). He's got offensive talent in the AHL, so if he clears waiver he helps the Bulldogs and gets another season to see how he's doing.
  18. Meanwhile the Bills got their man, breaking the bank to make Mario Williams the highest paid defensive player in football.
  19. Isles win is better tonight. OT is of course the best result. Leafs won 2 in a row before last night though.
  20. Minnesota and Anaheim win tonight pushing us back to the third overall pick again. Isles and Leafs go at it tonight which means we'll get more good results.
  21. Haddad also released and Three NCAAers sign ATOs for the Bulldogs instead. http://www.hamiltonbulldogs.com/article/bulldogs-sign-three-players-to-atos Travis Novak (St. Cloud), Ryan Flanigan (Merrimack), and Jesse Todd (Merrimack)
