Rychel has been a disappointment most of the year (until last night). He better hope he turned a corner if he wants to be picked in the top 15

Its not top 5, its first overall in the last 4 years. Oilers have 1 ball. Long Island 2. The Blue Jackets have 3 of their own, plus LA's plus NYR's to give them 5 out of 50 chances at 1st overall. So if LA or the Rangers win, its really Columbus that wins. Here is what everyone has. http://www.dirtydangle.com/2012/07/what-would-weighted-draft-lottery-look.html

Shinkaruk was impressive. Also impressed with Sam Reinhart, good game for a 2014 kid. I liked Segarov on the Russians, and Tkachev.

Tim Bozon has decided not to play for France at the WJC - Division II tournament at the beginning of December. He will continue to play in the WHL as he feels this is better competition for his career going forward. France would be competing in Division II trying to earn a spot in the regular tournament for 2014.

Get rid of the damn trapezoid. 10 fights rule (OHL)

Tell that to society and get them to change their spending habits and we'll talk. What may "make sense" in a theoretical discussion about what our priorities should or shouldn't be, and what actually happens in the real world are not the same thing.

Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin, Adam Oates and Pavel Bure enter the Hall tonight. Why Joe stands above his three other colleagues. http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/11/12/what-separates-joe-sakic-from-the-rest/

Why not? Find me another job where 20,000 people pay $100 each, 40-50 times per year to watch that person work. Entertainment is big money... just look at movie stars and tv star salaries too.

What economic climate? The real world, or the one where hockey generated more and more revenue every year despite a down turn globally?

There are anywhere from 6-12 players attending every meeting (and different ones all the time). How would Fehr possibly withhold info from the players? I think you are right CC, the NHL is accusing him for PR reasons and we are in deep doo-doo.

Puck daddy with an interesting story here. Sounds like Bettman is more concerned with PR than the truth (or making a deal) http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/did-donald-fehr-memo-intentionally-misrepresent-nhl-offer-021613314--nhl.html

I'd rather play if we are thinking about the draft pick.

Marc Antoine Godin @MAGodin Save for some ponctual needs, Habs have decided to make Louis Leblanc a full time winger. -

Figured this would be a tough one for the Dogs. No real surprise. -
A look at team Finland for the World Juniors. http://lastwordonsports.com/2012/11/08/early-look-world-juniors-team-finland/ Last nights podcast is also available now too. In the sidebar.

Hudon was among the best players on the Q team, intercepting passes, creating turnovers, creating offence, and generally buzzing all over.

They'd fill some dates. Can they fill every date, making arenas completely and totally unavailable throughout the NHL? Highly doubtful. You could re-jig the schedule and start playing about 2.5 weeks after signing a deal. The schedule just would be different than originally planned. Much like the NBA last year.

Yeah, I dont think there is any value in Avtsin. Complete bust and time to cut bait. He'll go back to Russia and I doubt he ever comes back to North America, with the Habs or anyone else. He's not even as good as Perezhogin and look at what the trade value for him has been... zilch. -

Nice work on the week in review. One thing that intrigued me was the final thought on Avtsin. I agree 100%, kid should play, even if its in Wheeling. I think the organization has completely given up on him though, I expect him in Russia next season, if not sooner.
