  1. For the pass to actually get through the traffic in front of the net, and, for Koivu to control the puck and put it in the net in time, b4 anyone could jump on him... thats wut makes it great.. ... Either way, whats done is done... If i were in ur place, and Canada was the team to get scored on in that way... i'd probably look at it ur way as well. Its all a matter of opinion, and, which team it was u were routing for i suppose.
  2. Wow, as much as i'd like to see theodore get the shot at it... my vote is really with Luongo. He has more international experience, and, probably the best bet. But, i'd still rather have an injured Brodeur than either of them.... (am i that krazy?)
  3. What a goal too, couldn't pick a better player to lead them to the gold medal game than Captain Koivu . If Canada can't manage a win tomorrow night (and THEY WILL WIN.... )... then i'll definitly b routing for Finland.
  4. ... Apparently Brodeur is having a wacky hand... .. It's not that i dont have confidence in both Luongo or Theodore, but, there's just that much more confidence when Brodeur is between the pipes... Either way, Guess we'll find out tonight if it will be Finland or the Czechs making it to the final...
  5. I hated Traverse, and that's all i have to say... he coulda been a great player if he played bigger... meh.. I think Beauchemin and Hainsey will be back-ups this year.
  6. Halifax has always been a fantastic international hockey city. I think it'd b great for them to get some games as well.
  7. Hmm, my teacher told me there's 2 kinds of ppl in the world as well... People named Andy, and ppl not named Andy. My teacher's first name is Andrew, he goes by Andy. Anywayz, BOBBLE HEADS RULE!!!... Ive got my Zednik and my Beliveau
  8. Well, guess they'll know what decision to make next time ... Really too bad not all the games could be played in Montreal... but as "Leafs Suck" said, its all about the money $$$... Anyone who's ever been to a game in montreal, where there was a worthy, or rival opponent, knows how vicious(in a good way) things can get... We know how to partay :king:
  9. Hmm, Irvin would b great, but just about anyone who knows their stuff about the habs would b a good fit. Wouldn't want sum random from Ottawa calling the game... "he passed the puck" 30 seconds later... "he blocked the shot" 15 seconds later "the goal was scored by Richard Rednik"
  10. This story contradicts the other that was put out not too long ago about him saying that a deal might get done?... I might be wrong, long week at college, so maybe my memory fails me.. The key part about his statement... "I will have a job wehn the season starts"... is just that, he will only have a job if and when next season begins, which could be a nyce long while from now. I highly doubt he will get signed b4 a new CBA is in place.
  11. Depending which Czech team shows up vs Canada, i think both matches should be very interesting, and well faught. Look forward to watching both.
  12. Bah, I can really see Kovalev in a Wings jersey 2... their New Fedorov...
  13. I hope Saku and Finland can beat the US. Tkachuk played a great game, right spot at the right time for everything it seemed... still don't like the guy, but, he's showing what he can do.
  14. Gainey is probably concentrated on Souray and Ryder right now, but, I'm sure he will get the time to sign Locke soon enough, and once things are a bit more certain for the future of the NHL, with CBA and all.

I don't have it, and probably wont buy it. I like to stick with the EA-Games version. I'll pay the big money for it 2. I can't wait till it comes out, experience some of the new things it can do, and to be able to play with the newer players.
  16. My thoughts exactly. He seems inspired. But isn't (almost) anyone who's trying to make a good buck inspired? I think Kovalev has something to prove to everyone, and to himself. He wants to show that he still has it left, and he isnt that washed up player who left New York. This tournament play certainly gives him that chance because he is surrounded by great talent, and, he gets more room to try out some tricks. I constantly see him retracting back to his own blue line to shake a backchecking forward, but what makes Kovalev's move even more interesting, is he often pulls off a little trick... -he'll kick the puck up to his stick with his skates-.. things like that. Kovalev just seems to be playing with so much more comfidence right now, and thats a great thing for him. The opposition on the other hand, watch out.
  17. Actually, it has to dip below 20... (19)... as is the case with Canada if we lose another defenceman, we will be stuck playing with 5, because we will have 20 players, and u need to go under in order to do an emergency call up. Anywayz, this is quite a blow for Finland, but, I still don't see it causing them to lose, they will probably continue to play hard, and treat it as if they had an unwanted injury. Teams have proven in the past that they can win with a few good players off the roster.
  18. There's soo many 'ifs', that, I think wut it comes down to is, having to wait till wednesday (very impatiently for that matter) to see what happens. You can't really count any team out at this time. We all know that the Slovak team will come at us hard, and, right now, their probably the scariest thing for Team Canada. If they can manage to pull everything together just for one game, things can go badly. Once again though, Canada will b playing just has hard. I cant wait for it. :can:
  19. Glad to have an inside scoop on it Bonavistaman11 :D... thats whats awesome about these forums, ppl from alll over , that way, u get the almost complete view of things... even if you don't agree with it. Anywayz, nothing to worry about folks, Ryder will be in Habs uniform when hockey resumes... thats my fearless prediction
  20. If Canada plays Sweden, (seeing that they make it through the first round)... I think we are gonna HAVE to see one of Brodeurs best games EVER, to help with the win. We shouldn't have too much trouble with their goalie though... In my mind, it will be a high scoring affair. Hmm, I shouldn't get too far ahead now tho, I mean, we do have to get through Slovakia first. :can:
  21. I'm sure we'll sign him. I think this is the agents way of just trying to get Bob Gainey to panic, and worry maybe that he wont get Ryder. (But common, its Bob Gainey we are talking about here:/). This agent is obviously not to great.) In the end, I'm sure that Ryder wants to remain in Montreal. (wait... did i read sumwhere he's a leaf fan? :puke: ) Everything is just a bit uncertain with all the CBA junk thats going on right now.
  22. *Alarm Sounds*... Time to wake up everyone! There might not even be a season.... WHYYYYYYY, How are we going to live? lol... anywayz... It would be a great line up, very scary team when u think about it, and it would certainly make us instant 'contenders'... well that is if everyone plays to par
  23. lol, i agree with u huzer, but, i meant more on a level of, "He's still got skill left, and can make things happen on the ice... " kinda way... Mostly, it jus shows that he is the Kovalev of old, who would put up some of the most points in the league, not the kovalev we have come to know as the guy who got paid wayyy to much for didly squat in New york. I hope i make some sense ... kinda in a rush posting...
  24. LOL!... so true... well, I'm sure gainey would jump on him first chance... but, it comes down to us having to take someone off our safe list in order to do it... will we even be able 2?... Should be interesting to see what happens though.
