Jesus don't freak out people, Ryder isn't leaving town. Back when Kostitsyn was signed Gainey said he's taking care if Souray first and then Ryder. Sure none of them as signed yet but Gainey clearly stated Ryder was a different case and he'd take care of it once everyone was signed. Just need a little patience.
-
Selanna wants his cash. I doubt he'll sign.
-
Don't worry Habs will sign him. No way in hell Bob is going to let a talented guy like Ryder pack his bags and leave town.

I'm expecting GMs to go back to work after the World Cup is over. I think right now they want to relax and enjoy the tournament.

FANTASTIC :D:D:D:D

Great article I hope Dags worked out all summer and tried to improve his game. I think he knows his ass is on the line for this season and for the ones to come... (Kostitsyn, Higgins, Plekanec...)

Who are you cheering for in the World Cup?
Tony_ replied to Leafs Suck's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Well mainly Canada. But I would be lying if I said I'm not cheering for teams with Habs players. Well not only teams with only Habs player but also players I like. So technically you can say I'm cheering for everyone. -
The only thing that concerns me about Perezhogin's case right now is will he not be aloud to enter the country if he's charged or something. As far as him being charged, I doubt he'll go to jail. Maybe serve some community service. Either way, if this guy gets more penalty time than Todd then this is stupid. Stafford will be alright and play hockey again some day. What about Steve Moore? Wouldn't it suck if the last time he was playing the game he loves the only memory of that day would be him getting carried out of a stretcher because some goon couldn't ######in' keep his emotions on check instead of concentrating on scoring and helping his team win.

Wow she's already gorgeous but she's smokin' in a Habs shirt

I don't blame the Ducks. He didn't make the splash they'd hoped that Sergei would make in Anaheim. As far as picking between Alex and Sergei, Alex without a doubt. Sergei is used to being a 8-10 million dollar man, not to mention he still has a few years left in his contract if he gets traded.

Who was in nets for Sweden? Salo or Tellqvist?

I wanted to play online and join a league but my computer would be the problem because it isn't the best thing around.
-
Heh, I'd like to see how pissed the Russians will be when Ovechkin is gone. Caps have to pay up 2 million for his transfer. Wouldn't it suck ass if he doesn't live up to the hype. We'll see in a few weeks when the World Cup begins.
-
Gainey said there was no problem getting Kostitsyn. Apparently they bought off his contracts for cheap because he wasn't eligible to play in some tournaments and league. Can't remember why but I think it has to do something with him being born when the communists where around.

Bah, I'm fet up of 2004. I uninstalled the game today and gave it to someone I know. I got so freakin' bored. I'm at the point where scoring in the playoffs is easy. I haven't played the ESPN NHL games but someone I know that played 2004 and the ESPN version said he'd pick ESPN anytime. He said it's more challenging to score. The computer is smart and it's all about strategies. He said unlike NHL 2004, in ESPN the pass across the ice/one timer (kind of like when it's a 2 on 1) thing doesn't work. Bah who knows, when I played NHL 2004 for the first time on PS2 and PC I got my ass kicked in easy mode. An hour later after I was schooling the comp. in medium. Guess it's all question about adapting to the game. I hope EA makes the game damn hard. I'd rather play something that might drive me nuts and make me play more then something I could beat in less than several hours of play.

Good signing by Avs. Vinny is a good veteran for the team. Lacroix better go get some prospects though, they need some badly.
-
I don't side with anyone. Closest thing I have to criticize anyone is the owners for being stupid enough to spend money like crazy and then complain they're flat broke.
-
Look in the NHL folders. I forgot the name but browse around and you'll see all the picture of the prizes. There's an island as a prize if I remember right.

http://thefourthperiod.com/edm60.html I hope he signs with Edmonton. For the 15 games he played there he sure as hell made a great impact with the team. I hope they can come to an agreement on the financial terms (I hope Lowe doesn't overpay him also...)

In Bob Gainey we trust, don't forget that he always has something up his sleeve. Bob always seems to have a backup for all his plans and he tends to act when it's least expected... Like I stated numerous times, if not Kovalev, then either Kariya, Selanne, Palfy, Murray and the whole big list of free agents are just waiting for that great offer. They might resist now but they won't when a new CBA is made or when the season starts and they'll be in the crowd watching wishing they weren't so greedy.

I found it interesting how Prospal, at the time, ditched Tampa, a team on the rise, to go play with the Ducks who made it to the Cup finals. The year later, Ducks suck, not to mention that the Habs eliminated any hope left in making the playoffs (remember, with like a few minutes left they were down by 2 goals and pulled out Giguere from the nets). Now Prospal comes back to the team that won a cup a year later. Would be funny is Tampa Bay would suck next season. That should teach Vaclav a good lesson.

Don't forget the chemistry between Kovalev-Koivu-Zednik. Last time Alexei played for well on a line with awesome chemistry was with Lemieux and Jagr (...before Jaromir started going down hill slowly).
