  3. Uhm... Are you saying you don't turn gay if you see another guy's wang in a movie?
  4. I haven't seen any of the Godfather movies in a long time. I think it's a case of a movie I've watched one time too many. I'll probably watch 'em again some time in the future, but not in the near future. Once Upon A Time In America is my favourite mob movie, but then again I am a huge Sergio Leone/Ennio Morricone fan.
  5. Forget about it. It's gotta be one of the best mob movies ever.
  6. My GOD, The Dark Knight was good! I'm completely blown away. Ledger was... Wow!
  7. The problem, at least the way I look at it, is I think Spielberg and Lucas were in a kind of "in my heart I know this is going to be less than great but I can't help myself so I'll sell out again" mode. Listening to what they had to say on the bonus material on the DVD, after they saw Independence Day they just couldn't resist involving aliens in the movie. That was the biggest mistake IMO. The Nazis turning into communists I can deal with, but one thing that I liked about Raiders.... and ...The Last Crusade was that the plot revolved around Christian mythology. I'm not religious but that tone still struck a chord in me. That's one of the reasons I don't think as highly of Temple of Doom, it deals with other myths. The Ark and the Holy Grail > aliens and sacred Hindu stones.
  8. What? Begin is a goner? That's too bad, I liked him from the very start when he first joined the Habs.
  9. I saw the new Indy movie today. Kinda meh. I thought there were a few moments that gave me the same feeling the original trilogy did, but there were too many moments that were not like that. And the ending? WTF??? George Lucas, please die now, please. And God, please stop this bunch from making more Indy movies. If they really cared about the Indy fans they'd left it alone and never made this movie. I don't think it sucked that bad, but it certainly didn't measure up.
  10. I don't even remember what I said last time. And I'm too tired for a second round right now. Rain check?
  11. TV3, one of the major Swedish television stations, is having a Bond marathon again. It's been a good while since they did it last, so I thought I'd watch a couple of the old Bond movies again for the first time in a long time. I think they started a couple weeks ago with Goldfinger and a like two weeks ago it was Doctor No and Live and let die. Last week they showed From Russia with Love - one of the Bond movies I have gone the longest time wihtout seeing. It was a disappointment. Tho it did have Robert Shaw as one of the bad guys, that was a complete surprise! I don't remember him being in a Bond movie at all. Tonight they're showing one of my top-3 favourite Bond movies: Thunderball.
  12. O brother, it's one of my absolute favorites!
  13. I don't agree with either of those two statements, I could say the same things about Leon but oh well, it doesn't really matter. To each his own.
  14. Good game by the Habs. I think more or less everyone played well. Granted, the Sens were really sloppy and turned the puck a lot, and I would have liked it better if the Habs had won this game without having to go to overtime and a shootout, but still... A good game allaround and without Koivy, Tanguay, Price, Higgins etc. Neat shootout goal by Kovalev (reminded me of Koivu) and then Lapierre... Wow!
  15. Now there's a movie with unrealistic parenting.
  16. Oh I agree. It is often not the sci-fi stuff or over-the-top car chases or explosions that annoy me. It's often the other stuff.
  17. Action movies are hard to like if you can't let yourself be immersed in the movie's universe, where natural laws might be different from those that exist in real life. You have to accept a certain amount of unrealistic aspects, perhaps in all kinds of movies but definitely in action movies in particular. You have to accept some things on faith (I hope that's the right English expression). The movie can't be too unrealistic though. But also different people consider different things realistic and have different opinions on what in a movie that's supposed to be realistic. I definitely agree that there are plenty of things in T2 that don't make a lick of sense and that the young John Connor is just too savvy and street wise. But right or wrong, when I was in junior high the hype surrounding the movie was huge and I got caught up in it. But even if I hadn't been I think I would still consider it one of the most ground-breaking action movies that I can think of.
  18. I have indeed said that. It's perfect. Or at least the action movie that I have seen that has come the closest to perfection.
  19. Good game by the Habs and a huge road win against a conference rival that was coming off a 4-0 win. Cool to see Lang get the hat-trick.
  20. Yeah, whatever. I don't think we're going to get anywhere from here. I said I thought I was the Canadian team was better and I would cincerely like to congratulate you for winning the gold. You guys were better when it counted. That don't mean I gotta like it tho.
