  1. Yeah I'd prefer these lineups. Montreal Cammalleri-Plekanec-Gionta Palushaj-Eller-Cole Pacioretty-DD-Kostitsyn Darche-Engqvist-Moen Oh well, let the game begin
  2. In reply to above. Yes - and I find that even with the current D core, that they have the ability to make a good first pass. The times when those first passes don't work so well - the forward is up the ice too much. When they are close together, they make quick passes and skate up as a unit. Yeah it's kinda like the flying V. Hehe. I think a lot of what Bruce Lee said about Martial Arts applies to hockey. "The highest technique is to have no technique. My technique is a result of your technique; my movement is a result of your movement. A good JKD man does not oppose force or give way completely. He is pliable as a spring; he is the complement and not the opposition to his opponent’s strength. He has no technique; he makes his opponent's technique his technique. He has no design; he makes opportunity his design. One should not respond to circumstance with artificial and "wooden" prearrangement. Your action should be like the immediacy of a shadow adapting to its moving object. Your task is simply to complete the other half of the oneness spontaneously." - Bruce Lee I think when they go down a goal, they get ' artificial and "wooden" ' and forget "the system", which is really just a spontaneity of the opponents "non perfection" in any of the three zones of play. That's why the players are talking about their play, and not the opponents play in the interviews. Yeah this post is kinda "spiritual' yet, you have to understand yourself, and for a team game, they have to act as one - not individuals. There is no I in team, as it's said. If anything is the problem, it was mentioned in this thread somewhere - it's the emotional response to getting scored on. They loose faith with the "system" which isn't really a system - it's trust in themselves and their abilities.
  3. I kinda miss Koivu. He was my favourite player growing up. Robert Lang getting injured kinda sucked too. I was so happy he was on the Habs. Getting a great player from Detroit was most excellent. As for the video on Price, that stick swinging did look vicious, and you can see his glove hand was a limp afterwards.
  4. Alrighty. Been reading and watching the players comments. Plekanec "I'm sure we'll win and fans will be happy and they will stop trading half the team and fire the coach again". LOL A win against the Leafs would be HUGE. As for me getting upset at JM last night... well, he's got more time to add some W's to the stats. The next 5 games will give more insight into how the team reacts to the slow start. Toronto Philly Florida Boston x2 70% is needed.
  5. Alrighty, I'm out for the night. Well said CC. It's still early ,so I'm just gonna sit back and see what happens, instead of getting all worked up over it. A win against Toronto would lift spirits. We shall see. Night all.
  6. lol Well, who is the scapegoat? The 3 inexperienced D, the coach, the whole team, the GM? I know it's only 1 loss (unless there is a heroic comeback), and if I keep saying "it's only 1 loss" more than 25ish more times then it's out of the playoffs.
  7. I just want to see the Habs play well. Like have you noticed that other teams have break out players...and the Habs have only had...... Plekanec as a breakout player, mainly because of his TWO- WAY play. Okay - Max Pac can make a case, as with Subban. Yet I don't know, I see the Pens with this James Neil? or whatever with 7 goals... and I'm like.. what? He is out scoring anyone on our team with goals alone.. granted they've played more games.... Alrighty, 3rd period puck drop... GO HABS GO!!!!
  8. Heh. Three of their top players are out... and we're still loosing. We need some... magic and heroics in the 3rd. LOL @ Benoit Brunet on Eller replacing Gomez...
  9. I feel the same way. And the reason is because, the Habs, in my opinion, have the tools to win games. You know, it wasn't JMs system that led the Habs on that cup run 2 years ago, it was the pride of the players, and Jaro Halak. If it wasn't for Halak actually... ugh.. the system is a lie!!! We need change. They don't have Crosby and Malkin.. we don't have Markov and Gomez? (Campoli and Spaceman too). The D kids aren't perfect yet we can't have old guys on the back end forever, and I think they have what it takes. New coach for sure...
  10. Sometimes you need that awesome individual effort to spark the team.. where is the game changer? Who will it be? I'm starting to think there is a reason JM never won the cup. I'm starting to not like him.
  11. I know... I was heart broken when he was in pain. Good thing he's back... looks like another PP for the Habs. Common Habbies, you can still come back in this one!
  12. Game over! KO!!! 1-3-1 Pleks missed goal was huge. Miller was in the zone. Well at least l'anti-chambre is on......... And there goes the ability to watch antichambre... team990 post game here I come.
  13. Running out of time.... Gomez seems to be trying harder this year, yet his play is worst than last year... Hopefully he scores now to prove me wrong.
  14. Awwwweee. Man. This is weird. It's not like the Habs are playing a bad game. It was Gorges.
  15. This team is awesome. Eller looks amazing! Sweet hands.
  16. Kosty is such an amazing passer. That line is playing like the #1 line.
  17. Miller time is in nets? Damn, he's a good goalie. Price needs to have a strong game and if Subban plays his game, instead of trying to do too much, it should make for an interesting finish, and hopefully a W! 2 hours until pre-game.
  18. <center><iframe width="640" height="380" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/K3CISZbk7pg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></center> GO HABS GO!!!!
  19. Well... I liked what I saw from the Habs. The 3 lines were all dangerous, which is promising, And with all the talk about the D, Emelin is pretty solid, Diaz and Weber, yeah they're not perfect, yet I didn't see too many errors from them. I was seeing lots of awesome passes out of the D zone, especially from Emelin, and the D zone coverage isn't too bad, they usually keep the players on the outside. Price and Subban did not have a great game... Subban was all over the place. It's still early in the season, I don't like how they're 1.5 games behind .500, yet at least it's only 1.5 games. They just gotta tighten up the TEAM game. I really like #74. Reminds me of... Markov. There, I said it. May not have the offensive touch and can lay out bodies more, yet he does remind me of a younger Markov. Good first pass and likes to sneak in on that famous side of the ice. Subban just has to slow down and let the game come to him. Gionta 1G 2A Desharnais 1G 1A Pacioretty 1G 1A Palushaj had some good shifts. Cole is a power foward, he's older he will warm up. AK is awesome.. he gets too much crit sometimes. It's nice to have Eller back. Pleks is always Pleks! Also, because I like to defend the young D... Weber +2 21:01 TOI Diaz +1 21:58 TOI
