2 - 0? sheesh, what a low scoring game. Dags might have to go to the Bulldogs for a bit and try to adjust to the new style of play. Is it worth the risk? I'd say yes.

Dags will need to adapt to the new NHL style before he gets any trade value. Once he keeps his penalty minutes down and scores a few goals he may have some use to a team without a scoring second line. Everyone knows he can shoot and shoot well, but he will need to at least form a bit of an all around game before we can move him. And then there is the Ribiero factor. Hopefully he treats any Dags trade like a professional.

San Jose is pretty surprising as well, considering they're supposed to dominate this year.

Tough game tomorrow. Easily the biggest test for the Habs yet.

I'm just saying that the pass was in either Bonks' or Bulis' skates. A better pass on the stick probably would have resulted in a shot (not necessarily a goal.) I'm just of the opinion that it didn't look sharp, but he made up for it by unleashing the sniper shot in the top corner. I think it hit the crossbar and the post, and it sounded terrific.

um...I didn't mention anything about the chances Sunny takes...

Sorry I'm late guys. It was a Saturday night, what can I say? Gotta mention that shot by Sundstrom! WHOA! I'll even overlook the bad pass he did seconds before because it was so good. Also, it was wonderful to watch Souray launch that rocket. It was an unimpeded shot that Belfour just didn't see. How about Kovalev protecting the puck for about 20 seconds behind the net. Leafs defenders didn't want to take a penalty to stop him. Too bad it didn't result in a goal, but it was still great to watch.

I found Don to be quite entertaining last night. And sometimes he even manages to say something astute. But aside from that, he's just fun to watch and listen to, and I like the humour in the broadcast.

I agree, unless he was totally out of line or wasn't provoked into an offensive comment, I'm protesting this ban.

My "leafs fan" buddy is going to his brother's wedding tomorrow. I'm invited, but I've decided to wait till after the game, and then I can go to the reception and gloat about how the Habs won 8 - 2 and everybody on the Leafs got injured (just minor day to day injuries shortcat, I'm not calling for everyone's career to end :/))

I'd like to see what Plekanec can do on that line this Saturday against Toronto. (Or Higgins cause he's used the wing.) Perez - Koivu - Kovalev Plekanec - Ribiero - Ryder Bulis - Bonk - Sundstrom Higgins - Begin - Ivanans Sexy.

I hate to say it this early, but Dags is losing his spot. He's taking some bad penalties and playing his usual defensive play. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit next game with either Plekanec or Higgins in his place. Ivanans should be in for a battle with Domi, and Zednik is injured, so Dags might be the odd man out considering his play of late.

I have a hard time believing Dags "passed" the puck to Ryder. Are you sure it just wasn't an inaccurate shot?

One of the broadcasters for CJAD summed it up perfectly for me (paraphrasing of course): "Dagenais can't skate. If you can't skate, you hook and grab, and now you get penalties for it." He's gonna have to adjust fairly quickly or he could be sitting more games than he plays. I still think he'll prove better than last year, but Higgins, Plekanec, and Perezhogin could just prove to be better.

Tonight? Maybe. Next game? Perezhogin.

I see Bulis scored the Habs goal, with assists from Bonk and Sundstrom. That's a damn fine 3rd line. No doubt about it.

Dags scores 4 goals and plays a defensively sound game. Fans still call for him to be traded to make room for Latendresse.

Trade Zednik? Hells no! He's worth more than what he's being paid. That alone is reason to keep him in the era of the cap.

Sheesh, Hainsey and Streit were supposed to push each other and battle for the final roster spot on D. Instead we get: Streit: Hey Ron! We should both be painfully mediocre all throughout camp!" Hainsey: "lol! ur funnie! okayz!"

Just giving Vandermeer/Ivanans and Streit/Hainsey a last look. One of each pair has to go.
