  1. I'll find it. Obviously mainstream media stayed away so it's up to you whether or not to trust it. However, Ryan stealing a purse for no logical reason seems ridiculous. This version makes more sense.
  2. AWESOME: On November 21st he had 1 Gino and 1 Apple against us and every game he seems to always be in our kitchen. He's not a habs killer but he's close enough.
  3. I don't blame Ryan at all for that. Huet was getting a certain part of himself "cleaned" by the girlfriend of the woman who took photos. So the kid decides to protect the veteran from his wife finding out and gets the cell phone. It's pretty sad when the rook is saving the vet. "Shame on Huet" is the truth! (I have always had a conspiracy theory this is why Gainey traded him) I am happy with the way his game is progressing. I just don't like it when he takes a panic penalty. But that's OK. Many of them look like sure goals that he prevents.
  4. Swim or SINK Habs. NOW is the time to begin the march towards the playoffs. Drop this game and risk everything. GO :hlogo: GO
  5. We won 2 in a row - wow. Maybe we can make it after all. The way it stands is we have our destiny within our own grasp. Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Florida all have games in hand on us but their total if they win those games equates to 70 points - exactly what we have now. It's so simple for the Habs now. Do better in 12 games versus the Rangers, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Florida and we make it. Carolina, Islanders and Toronto are toast unless the earth moves or tilts. And, it all starts on Tuesday. Time to damage Tamapa bay with a 4 pointer. If we lose that game we'll be right back to playing with fire.
  6. The Calgary Flames are a mess. I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Brent Sutter and also Darryl Sutter. It amazes me that a friend of mine and I talked about the negative aspects of the Sutter's last night. Today the fans are asking questions and TSN actually has an article on it. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=312653 I wonder if the Sutter's are too harsh or loony. An example of a loony coach would be (IMO) Mike Keenan, Pierre Page and Mario Tremblay amongst others. The press conferences and the attitude from both Sutter's would suggest that they are being far too critical to the benefit of the team. My advice for Brent would be to start acting like a loony who gets results: Tortorella. What Torts believes in is winning. He'll cut players down and peel the paint but he's also inspired to win. Players buy in to Tortorella's scheme because he inspires them. He's like the Mickey Goldmill of hockey who inspires the Rocky Balboa player. Brent seems to just like to crack the whip and there's no rewards for the players. It might make for a bummed out locker room and players being unhappy. The fact that Brent Sutter is using the media to vent on players spells big time trouble. I like the Sutter's and for their sake I hope someone tells them to be more like Mickey Goldmill! Not this iron fist!
  7. I like his game so far so I don't mind him...yet. The question is how much is this Florida's fault for being a graveyard versus Moore's questionable signing and scratch time? My gut feeling is that this player got kicked around from Toronto to Buffalo and had a dumb agent. The situation seems to me to suggest he wants to settle down, make his mark and get back to playing and being a regular NHL'er. Hopefully he believes that there's no better place to do that with a Canadian based team that had so much faith in you that they spent a 2nd rounder on ya. CH Hope I'm right.
  8. Gauthier can be let off the hook if he retains Moore so it's OK if he does that. If not it's a fail! But I have to believe that they have coveted him and maybe for a while. It seems logical he is signed this summer.
  9. I've calmed now that there was no other trade. I guess we can look at the bright side: #74 is still a Canadien :hlogo:
  10. I'm angry! No trade. No nothing! I know it's foolish to want a trade for the sake of enjoying some news. However, this is compounded anger from the last decade or so. Why do I bother with this org beats me.
  11. Har har on Chara. No medal. No win for your 1st game back over your hated rival.
  12. Maybe Ryder will get traded tomorrow on account of the penalty. Hopefully we score then it'll be funny
  13. Can't Blame Carey. Someone will have to notify the CBC
  14. NHL ruined by Olympic level hockey. Habs Vs. Broons: Maybe the Habs can practice what particular planet they are on soon. This week would be nice. Bruins are better in general tonight but there is rust on their game too
  15. Pleks in centering the brothers. That's a good sign Sergei is staying.
  16. Finally, no more Eklund and no more surfing here and there for rumours. I can trust this twitter account. Under the banner of The Score it has tweets from Eliott Friedman and Bob McKenzie. Just refresh and you'll get breaking trades. http://tradedeadline.thescore.com/tweets
  17. Tonight might be VERY interesting....or will it? If it is interesting, I figure at around 10 or 11 PM ET tonight things should begin. After the conclusion of almost every game it's possible that some trades start being released. Right now?        !
  18. One point on the Leclair trade. He was lousy and lazy prior to being traded. It was public knowledge that he wanted to play in the USA. I know some people are still annoyed at Savard for making the trade and with Desjardins included as well. But Leclair put the word out and that was it. It's one thing to blame Savard but Leclair's stance put Savard into a position of trade weakness. Modern day example of this would be the Heatley trade to San Jose. Ottawa did well in some regards but Cheechoo? The only difference between 1995 and the Heatley situation today is that Heatley let the cat out of the bag in full view of the media. Leclair's unhappiness on the other hand was the worst kept secret in hockey media at the time. It's not by accident Leclair turned it up a notch when he played us. I was not at all happy with him! Rumour mill is empty and boring which is probably a good thing. An article from thefourthperiod.com is the best report I could find given how close to the deadline we are. Thefourthperiod - Montreal March 2, 2010
  19. IMO; honourable mention to Kariya's goal in the 2002 gold medal game in Salt Lake. It wasn't so much Kariya's goal as it was Mario Lemieux watching the puck go by and knowing, "That's not for me". Richter was caught like a deer in headlights by the presence of #66. Too bad for Richter since Kariya had an open net - Mario KNEW IT!. I'm not dumping on Richter here. Any goalie would have been fooled. Lemieux watched the puck go right by him. My jaw was on the floor for a play that actually was a non assist. Hockey sense, presence and...well...that's the MAGNIFICENT! I am still in awe of that goal.
  20. I guess Sid gets off the hook for his bad play in this tourney now eh?
  21. If Canada loses I can't wait to hear from Don Cherry how we still own the game because some USA players know our system. Like when he said that the reason the USA won in the juniors was because several of their players played in the CHL. This is a fact but does it matter? USA players won. I have no idea how he explains this loss (if it happens) since many of the USA Olympic team come from the American program! It's the "genie is out of the bottle" excuse. But it's also true that the Montreal Canadiens once had an array of secrets in their history. One invention was the trap. Today everyone knows what the trap is. The "genie is out of the bottle" for the Habs on many things. So too is the "genie is out of the bottle" for Canada's "game" Even the Swiss reminded them! The USA Knows Don!!! Don won't have to explain this time. Gold Canada Gold
  22. Why can't all of Canada's lines do what the Morrow-Getzlaf-Perry line does? They double teamed on the forecheck and Miller had to make a save!
  23. I am worried about the Americans forecheck. But like I said earlier it'll either be the saviour or the doom for USA. I am far more impressed with their forecheck than Canada's. The US has to do that but take their picks. We all know Ron Wilson likes to use it alot. Can Canada defend against that for another period? That's asking for hell's fire! Canada is still puck possessing too much. They might try to win this game with it and that would be stupid. They must send in a 2nd forechecker. Canada keeps passing around the perimeter. The US can expand and collapse defensively like they've been playing together for years. If Canada continues this it's very dangerous for them. Perry's goal was good fortune. Still 20 minutes.
  24. I didn't like the look on Malones face as the play developed. You could almost see that coming the way he accelerated when he crossed the blueline. Eye of the Tiger!
