Finally a break for the habs!

I miss the days of firewagon hockey, at least losing was exciting .

Gionta, Plek and Cammy have just about used up all my free will for this season. I wish we had Cammy the sniper not Cammy the invisible.

The GM took a risk on resigning markov over Wiz, who knows how it'll turn out. I sometimes feel like JM is trying to be TOO smart, instead of a typical top 6 forwards, bottom grind/smash line and a defensive 3rd line, he's trying to reinvent the wheel with his so called top 9. Sometimes you just have to put all your eggs in one basket. This is going to sound like a broken record, but I don't see why this team cannot score, they have the talent, but you can tell when it's going to be a good game or not by the first 5 minutes. If the passes are tape to tape the wingers are flying, but when it's not they are just bad. I cringe everytime I see an opposing team cut to the inside of our D-men and get a great scoring chance. Then I watch our boys always ALWAYS go to the out side and shoot a weak shot. Is it a mental thing? Are our forwards afraid to go to the dirty areas? Are they afraid of taking a hit? The PP was so good last year because of the d-men at the point, this year the habs barely use them, they are so predictable trying that damn down low pass to cross-crease pass EVERY DAMN TIME.The habs habe great shooters at the point, remember last year when Wiz would fire that sharp pass to PK and he'd wire it into the net? That's whats hurting the PP, by the time the pass gets to the point the opposing D-men are in position to block. I am by no means any kind of hockey genius. I just want to echo the sentiment of others that the coaching staff hurt the habs short-term in the preseason by playing so many AHL/CHL players, and not re-building chemistry.

I'd be all for a coaching change...it may sound over reacting but as a fan i've had enough of 1-2 goals a game.

I miss the kostopulos type player.

This could be the year the experts get it right and the habs miss the playoffs.

This is the tribute video to Rick Rypien the canucks put on. Watching this affected me in a strange way, we as fans see players are robots, as flesh of meat to entertain us, but knowing the depths players sometimes sink to for our entertainment, it's kind of making me rethink the way I enjoy hockey.

The habs gave up 2 goals a game..that's great defensively. No team goes entire games without giving up chances, the Sabres just capitalized on both of theirs, and the habs fluffed on theirs. There's some wins I feel terrible after cause of the play, last nights 'lose' just showed what happens when the bounces do not go your way. I am a little worried about Cole though.

We should recognize what the sabres just did...its what the habs do to others.

This is a discussion board YeahBud, I don't speak for everyone here, but I don't like being a cheerleader fan, no team is perfect, and it's ok to point out faults and potential problems.

Well when I say shots I mean shots towards the net, I counted a bunch of times where the play was broken up by the other habs player, but he just looked weak. I am not an expert, I just noticed the leafs getting a lot of chances when he was on the ice. Well I am in the minority here, I must have just been wrong then. It happens, a lot...I just expected more of a 25 year old 'rookie'. Then again, I expected more from most of the habs last night haha...

I just don't see peoples love for Diaz, with the puck he looked decent, but on the defensive end he was a mess, leafs players were able to skate in on him and get good scoring chances all night.

Most habs looked good in the first.

Apparentally not if you think Diaz played a great game.

Are you guys joking? Diaz has been terrible...

I also cant understand Diaz over Yemelin.
