Two years? This is awesome in my opinion. Only adding 1 mill to his current salary and I think he has 3 more 50 point seasons in him, plus being the most reliable players the Habs have had for the last decade. Happy this isn't a 6 year 5 mill a year deal. This works.

Personally thought the bat flip was awesome, and perfect. Batista just hit the biggest homer of his career, he didn't Jack the Rangers bench the finger and run naked around base. You hit one of the biggest homers in Jay's history, emotion will run wiiiild. In the words of joe Thornton "I would have whipped my c**k out." Sports are purely entertainment. We need more of it! I don't think Batista flipped his bat for negative feelings towards the pitcher, but for his and his teammates feelings of absolute joy. People need to see the positive here instead of the negative. What about using subby in a forward position? Is puck control down low, vision, passing and shot seem like to much of an asset NOT to use. The only reason they are working now is because everyone knows how he's going to be used. He could be used instead of Semin on the first wave. I still think one of MTL's biggest problems on the pp is simply establishing possession in the zone. We attempt to break in and lose it more often than not. Once we have possession we are generally dangerous. It's the repeated unsuccessful zone entries that really make me hate the powerplay.
